This Stinks

Jiselle's POV:

I'm five months pregnant, and things have gone from good to fucking bad. I was at work a few days ago when my assistant observed that I was dizzy and had trouble breathing, so she naturally dialed 911. The physicians informed me that my blood pressure was quite high, which they assumed was related to my work. As a result, I have been bedridden for the remainder of my pregnancy, which is not ideal. Not only am I supposed to lie in bed performing minimal tasks around the house, but I'm also supposed to not work, which is easier said than done for me, which is why I sneak in some work anytime Liam is out of the house. It's not that Louis Vuitton or Gucci didn't provide me with maternity leave, but I really miss working. I'm like Harry Styles without his Gucci when I'm not working. It's unthinkable!

While Liam was off picking up Bear from soccer practice, I was able to get some work done. Topolino sprang to his feet and hurried downstairs to greet the boys when he returned, so I immediately put my laptop and phone beneath the bed before he arrived. Bear dashed into the room, clad in his soccer uniform. Before climbing onto the bed and hugging me, he greeted me with a bright smile and numerous waves.

"Be careful buddy," Liam said after a few minutes in the room.

Liam approached me and gave me a kiss on the lips.

"How are you, darling?" Liam was the one who inquired.

"Very well," I said with a smile on my face.

I caught a glimpse of Liam's eyes looking down at the ground before returning to mine.

"Why don't you go change, Bear?" Liam advised.

Bear sprung from our bed and bolted from the room. Liam hastily shut the bedroom door and returned my stare with a harsh expression.

Liam inquired, "Have you been working?"

I lied and said, "No."

Liam strolled up to the bed and undid the ruffle, revealing my laptop, which he held in front of me.

"Then what is this?" He inquired.

I was unable to look at him. I'd been taken off guard.

"Liam, what am I supposed to do?" I screamed. "Every day, I lie in bed watching TV, but there is nothing new on. I go through the motions as usual, and you are free to come and go as you please. I'm exhausted from being confined to my bed!"

Liam didn't add to my rage because he understood it was terrible for the babies, so I attempted to calm down. Instead, he went into bed with me and drew the blankets back, allowing him to slowly push my shirt up and rub my stomach.

As he massaged my pregnant belly, he sighed.

"I can't understand how difficult it is, but what you do has an impact on them," Liam murmured as he kissed my stomach. "I'm in love with you."

I snarled, "And I despise you. You're the one who made this shambles!"

Liam chuckled as he said, "Yeah, but I'm good at it. I mean, we're having two babies for the first time! Let's face it, that's great!"

I sighed and rolled my eyes. Every guy is the same.

Liam shifted his weight and placed his hand on the side of my cheek before bringing our lips together and kissing me. "I do know something you can accomplish while bedridden," he remarked as he stepped back.

"Can you tell me what that is?" I grinned.
He shifted his weight over me to avoid injuring me or the kids, and he continued to kiss me passionately.
