Jiselle's POV:
My family and I found ourselves heading back from our trail ride. At one point, Liam had his own horse, we all did; however, it didn't take him long to fall off which landed him riding back with me. His arms were wrapped around my abdomen while I held the reins of my horse and his. The day was noting but eventful because Liam falling off his horse wasn't the only thing that happened. After all, he was repeatedly questioned by my family and I got to see him struggle when we were at the range shooting guns.
"How are you doing back there?" I asked.
"How do you think I am doing?" Liam pouted. "I've embarrassed myself in front of your family. Repeatedly. I'm feeling the greatest."
"Oh honey," I began. "Don't worry about it. You've already put a ring on it."
"Jiselle," He said. "I'm not in the mood for humor."
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry babe," I apologized. "Don't give it too much thought. My family isn't that judgemental. Don't stress about anything, just be yourself around them."
Later that day, when we returned home. Everyone was sitting in the family room together. Topolino was on the floor with my cousin, Marry, getting all the belly rubs he possibly could. While the rest of us found seats on the couch.
"This was a fun weekend," Carly admitted.
"I agree," I concurred with a smile. "I'm glad you all were able to come out."
"We will have to do it again," My mother hinted.
"Definitely!" My aunt agreed.
"It was nice to finally meet your husband, Jiselle," Ray said.
"I agree. Liam, you are a good man and I'm glad that Jiselle has you. But should you do anything to hurt her, Ray and I will be back with more than a gun. You understand?" My uncle explained.
I placed my hand on Liam's leg and looked into his eyes. He kissed the side of my head which sent children up and down my spine. When every retired to their bedrooms for the night, Liam and I laid in bed together.
"Thank you for tolerating my family," I thanked.
"It's not a problem." He assured. "Besides, they aren't that bad once you get pasted the camouflage."
I playfully shoved Liam.
"I'm just playing," Liam chuckled and he pulled me in close.
I closed my eyes and rested peacefully. I felt relaxed at this moment.
"You know what's funny," Liam said softly.
"What?" I asked as I looked up at him.
"Your uncle was very curious about children."
"Children?"
"Yeah, in particular, our children."
"Liam, what are you getting at?"
"Will we have children of our own?"
"We are not ready for more children. I am not ready for more children after what we went through but that doesn't mean that it won't happen."
I kissed him on the lips and cozied up on the bed before turning off the lamp. I was tired and I didn't want to discuss this matter any more than we had. Besides, I haven't moved on from the miscarriage and had no desire to rush to have another.
