That Morning

Alina was ecstatic. Today her sister was finally safe. Alina got ready and went down for breakfast. When Aspen didn't come down, her parents sent Alina to go look for her.
Everyone thought she just slept in, again, but she wasn't there. Then they had this whole search party sent out to look for her, she guessed it was a good way to know if the kid actually saved her, but she still thought it was pointless.
By the time she was done with breakfast one of her guards came in with the report on what happened. "We saw a girl running in the woods alone, she looked like Aspen but we lost sight of her." WHAT! She thought.
She was so mad. That kid had one job to do, ONE JOB. Yet he failed miserably at it, HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING HER, NOT LETTING HER RUN OFF ALONE! Since Aspen still didn't know how to fly she could easily be killed or kidnapped by O.B.M.
Now if Sir. Baldie would just come to give his stupid report on time she would know what was happening. She hadn't seen him since before her party. And frankly, she hoped to never see him again.
She had hoped they would have updates for her by now but it didn't seem she was going to see any of them any time soon. Which in some ways she thought was a good thing. They were all annoying, insufferable excuses for Elcanians. However, she still needed them to know if her sister was in any danger.
Alina hoped that the assassin kid had everything under control but so far it seemed like he wasn't even with her. She felt uncomfortable putting all her trust in him but she knew she had to. It was her only option.
