Gabe wasn't sure what was happening. One minute he was in the healer's quarters the next Sasha was dragging him down the hallway. Sasha stopped at a door and knocked three times. On the other side, a voice called out, "Come in."
Gabe didn't recognize the voice but when Sasha opened the door Gabe turned his head so he could see what was happening. Jay was there with what looked like an older version of Aspen. It was so weird. She looked exactly like Aspen but looked to be in her early 20s. Was she future Aspen, had they invented time travel so she could come back and help us fight? Probably not, but then who was she?
He was about to ask just that when he realized that Sasha had been talking to Jay and he'd been too lost in thought to remember what they said. They walked out and closed the door, leaving the girl in the room. They walked back through the corridor, well Sasha was still dragging him and Gabe thought that she had forgotten about him.
"That was Princess Estella, Aspen, and Alina's older sister," Sasha explained. "Umm... what..?" Gabe asked. Sasha ignored him; he hadn't really expected her to answer but it was still hurtful.
"Then why is she here, and how come I didn't know she existed in the first place?" Jay asked. "Well, when she was born a demon cursed her, that was when the king and queen decided to have a protection spell put up around the castle."
"How was she cursed?" Gabe asked, fully prepared to be ignored again, as usual. To his surprise, Sasha said, "The Demon cursed her to die if she came near anyone in her close family before the king or queen had died." Gabe gave her a confused look so she continued, "She has been here ever since, the queen brought her here of course since the king has no idea we exist. And now Estella is the new leader of The Midnight Sun since Conner.... is uh, no longer with us..."
"Who's Connor?" Gabe asked. Sasha stared at him in disbelief. "He's the kid I knocked out about four days ago," Jay asked. "Oh him!" Gabe said, finally happy to be acknowledged. "You did what?" Sasha demanded. "When we rescued Aspen, Jay had to knock him out because he was in our way," Gabe explained.
"Where is he now?" Sasha and Jay exchanged a look and then kept walking. "Aspen can't know about her yet. If they meet before one of her parents dies then Princess Estella will die," Sasha said just as they turned the corner to see Aspen slowly walking toward them, supporting Lexie as she came toward them.
Gabe was starting to lose feeling in his lower body from being literally dragged all over the place. He couldn't see Aspen or Lexie as his back was to them. He had to crane his head around Sasha's vice-like grip on his shirt.
Sasha finally let go of Gabe. His head fell hard on the ground, as he wasn't expecting her to, and he made an effort to stand. "Are you okay!?" Aspen asked in concern. "Maybe?" he said in response. Aspen took that as a yes and asked where Jay was.
"They were in their room thinking I didn't have the key," Sasha said as if nothing had happened. "Where are they though?" she asked again. Gabe looked to where Jay had been just a few seconds before and didn't see them.
"UGH, why can't they just stay in one place for five seconds!?" Sasha exclaimed. Gabe tried to sneak away but Sasha grabbed the back of his shirt again. Here we go again, he thought as he struggled to keep up with Sasha, trying to prevent himself from being dragged on the ground again.
Jay came back with their phone a few seconds later and Sasha let go of Gabes shirt again. He wished they had come sooner but at least he didn't get dragged on the ground this time.
Jay turned on the news and the news lady said:

"The ball is tonight everyone! There will be a live feed to record the event so stay tuned to hear all the juicy details!"

"Oh, I guess that means it is time to finish your makeover!" Sasha said seriously but Gabe could hear the excitement in her voice. "No," Jay said. "Yes."
"I'm excited to see you all dressed up!" Aspen said sincerely. "No thanks," they said and teleported away. "GET BACK HERE!!!" Sasha yelled so loudly it echoed through the entire cave. Sasha reached for the back of his shirt again, Oh no. "Oh yes!" whinnied a voice from around the corner.
Glimmer came from around the corner and sat down. "Did someone say MAKEOVER!!" Sasha looked at Glimmer then at Gabe and grinned. That couldn't be good. "As a matter of fact I did, would you like to do the honors?" Sasha said mischievously, completely forgetting about Jay.
Glimmer gave a horsey grin and said, "Yes I would! No one has ever let me give them a makeover before so this will be good practice. Sasha's grin widened. Gabe was terrified at this point, Glimmer was gonna mess up his beautiful face. "It will be fun to make him wear a dress too," Glimmer continued as Aspen took Kiki from her back and cuddled with her.

After about fifteen minutes of torture, Gabe finally escaped Sasha's hell of a bedroom. He also had to suffer for a picture he would never live down. He now had bows in his hair, makeup on, and a crop top with a stupid skirt. He looked utterly ridiculous and it was so embarrassing, and he didn't even get to see Jay in any of this.
He noticed Lexie and Aspen following him so he started to walk to his room faster. They kept on his trail and he accidentally took a wrong turn, running into a man he didn't recognize. Aspen and Lexie in turn ran into Gabe. Lexie's expression completely changed when she saw the man. "How did you get here?" she said, with a mix of both anger and fear.

Jay had gotten to the village near the castle. They sat on a bench after getting some food to snack on and played on their phone until it was time for the party to start.
The party was an invite only event but they had other ways to get in through the doors. Teleporting into the castle, Jay spotted Alina immediately. They really didn't want to talk to her but they didn't really have a choice.
They waited for her to finish her dance but she did something unexpected, she leaned in for a kiss from the person she was dancing with. Then he did something even more unexpected, he pulled away from her. Then they went off through a door towards the back of the room that led to the garden. Jay thought he just didn't want to kiss in public or something.
They teleported in front of the door to make sure they weren't right outside then went to find a place to listen to them without being seen, even though they doubted they really wanted to. If things got weird they were leaving right away. At first, there was only silence but after a minute Alina said something Jay never thought they'd hear, a confession.
