ALICE'S POV

"Daddy! I'm home!" I gracefully announced inside the wide and bright room in front of me. I smiled widely at my Dad who's sitting on the sofa with his coffee.

I giggled and handed him the shopping bags I'm carrying on my hand. After those, I landed on his chest and hugged him as tightly as I can. I really, really, really love my Daddy!

"How's your shopping trip, darling?" Daddy asked while playing with my hair and took a sip on his coffee. I smiled and pulled away from him.

"Guess what Daddy, I met Stephen Curry on the mall!" I exclaimed excitedly and pulled out a paper that had Curry's signature on. "Look Daddy! He gave me an autograph!"

He chuckled and put his coffee down the table. I think I'm blushing so much with joy.

"Anyways Alice..." he stated next and took a very deep breath. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yes?" I stood in front of him as an obedient daughter as ever. Maybe he wants to take me on a vacation trip.

"There's actually something that I want to tell you..." he sigh and scratched his nape. Oh Daddy! Vacation, just you me and Mom.

I smiled without showing my teeth and wait till he continued his thing. He breath deep again and stared at me straight to my eyes. Vacation trip, vacation trip.

"You've grown enough to look for a husband..." He stated that makes no sense. I laughed at his remark weirdly. If that's the thing he wants to then good.

"What are you saying, Daddy? Of course you're the only man in my life!" I stated lovingly and smiled widely again at him. He's looking more focused and determined to tell me something. Maybe it's not vacation on the way he looks at me.

"What I mean is that... " He sigh again. It's like he wanted to tell me something he should have told me yesterday or the last year.

"Sure, Daddy. I'm listening!" I replied happily expecting something nice about what's coming out of his mouth next.

"You have an instant husband." He said straightly. I laughed.

"Oh thank you." I said absent-mindedly.

"I mean, you have an arranged marriage with my Friend's son." Daddy remarked while looking at me deep in the eyes.

"Oh thank you, Daddy!" I replied happily but he's looking at me like he can't believe my reaction. I mean... wait...

I don't really know if I heard it right or I'm just deaf. Did he just say that I have an instant husband?

"Oh see? I know you weren't listening all this time. I was---" Daddy stated but I cut him.

"How could you do this your only daughter, Daddy?!" I was like a childish girl who never heard the weirdest news before. I mean, what I want is a vacation trip, not a husband!

"As expected on your reaction---" I cut him again.

"Which girl wouldn't go mad after her father told her that she's already engaged to someone she doesn't even know?!" I exclaimed with my fists. I look exaggerating with my behavior but I hope he tell me that he's just kidding!

"It's okay, darling. We can stop the arranged marriage if you don't want to---" I replied with a bang to cut him again. What???

"Of course, I don't want to! I don't even know him and what if... what if..." I can't believe that I'm thinking in advance. What if he is evil? or even scary?
