In the end, Iris lived. But not happily ever after. Not yet. And probably never, as she liked to believe.

Edward loathed listening to his granddaughter's disturbed mind, but he had to - even more than usual.

As soon as Iris was ready, she began even more therapy sessions with her uncle. Her human and supernatural education was put on hold. Instead, the family focused on calmer activities. Every morning, the Cullen women would practice meditation with Iris and in the evening, the entire family would gather to listen to Edward playing pieces on the piano.

At one point, Iris had attempted to pick up the violin, but it wasn't for her. She tried every instrument in the house, curious to find what she was good at and encouraged to do so, but music didn't seem to be her thing. Until she found the triangle - small, but challenging. And she could easily join her grandfather in a song.
