Chapter 23

Its been 2 years since then,
 2 years since Sasuke left the village
 2 years since Naruto left to train with Jirayia,
2 years since Sakura started to train with lady Tsunade,
2 years since the village has gotten less chaotic and my life a bit boring,

I still got to look at Kakashi's pretty face almost all day so that a plus eheheheheheh.

My day just consists of training and going to missions with Kakashi or just hanging out in my room sleeping or 'Painting the big mural on the wall of the people I love'.

Y/n's POV

I still remember that day as if it was yesterday, we walked through a path lit by soft street lights, the distant sound of water running down the river we stood on a bridge and watched the fireworks. That day when I finally told someone about how my parents died.

~Flash Back 2 years~

I looked up at the man with a confused look on his face. "Kakashi are you okay?" he looked at me and began. "Y/n did you know I remember saving a little girl on this very day from a burning house, I held onto her shaking body as I walked back to treat her minor burns on her arm" I grabbed onto the scar on my left arm. So many questions flashed through my mind 'did we actually meet back then?'.....'was it sensei who saved me?' 

"Y/n were you the one I saved?"

He asked silently. I looked at my feet as a lump formed in my throat, tears formed in my eyes dripping down my cheek. 

"were you the girl that trembling girl I remember whenever I close my eyes at night?"
"were you the one I first remember when I hear about a fire breakout?"
"were you really that girl?"

"I think so" I slowly nodded as my voice cracked from all the emotions that were rushing into me. Happy. Sad. Confused.
The man I think about whenever I see something ablaze is standing infront of me right now. I felt someone pat my head, I looked up. Kakashi cupped my cheeks as his thumb slowly wiped away all the tears that had formed in my eyes now a little puffy. "Don't cry. I know its a little overwhelming to remember what happened, But ill always be there for you always"

~End of Flash back~

"n...Y/n...Y/N!" I hear someone shout out, "Y/n focus on the mission" I looked at the grey haired man who called out my name. "eheheheh sorry"

"We took another step closer that day"
