Dear Dad,
Today’s been a weird day. First, there was a band playing at our school. There were three guys and they called themselves The Retro Station. I think their names were Lev, Kit, and Don. Lev, the singer, wore simple clothing, just blue jeans and a grey long sleeved shirt. Kit, the guitarist, wore a button up shirt and a tie. Don, the drummer, wore a jean vest with a print shirt and black finger cut gloves. Their music was good, and at the end of playing their 3rd song they announced that they have a blog that we could follow. They said they wanted to be a big band someday. Daxus especially liked them. He liked the drummer the most though, because of how he dressed. Daxus dressed quite similar to him. Richard thought they were alright.
Richard and Daxus came over after school today. Here’s the weird part, when Daxus was using the bathroom, Richard admitted to me that he liked me and that he originally was going to tell me on before winter break. Assuming that he thought that this was weird, I said “Just so you know, I don’t find this weird at all. I don’t, honestly” because Daxus felt weird when he told me. Apparently Richard thought that it was okay to lean in and kiss me, on the lips. I tried not to resist. I didn’t know what to do. I just let him. I’ve never kissed anyone before.
Daxus came in unexpectedly and he saw us. He turned back around and exited the room. I didn’t know what to say to him. I knew he liked me, but I didn’t want to be rude and push Richard away. He didn’t even hear Daxus enter the room.
As soon as Richard started putting his hands down my pants, I pushed him away. He apologized. He said that he gets out of control sometimes. I said that it was okay, I just didn’t feel right with it. Richard apologized again and Uncle Alex came into the room. He asked Richard if he wanted to go home because Daxus asked Uncle Alex to drop him off. Richard said yes.
On the way back to Uncle Alex’s house, Uncle Alex was very nonchalant when he asked, “Did you use protection?” I didn’t see him looking at Richard and me at all. All I said was that we didn’t do anything. Is response was, “Well Richard seems touchy today” I told him that he was moving because of an issue. Again, Uncle Alex was very nonchalant when he said, “I guess he wanted a piece of you before he goes” I didn’t say anything after that.
When we got to his house, I went into my room. I was wondering why he’s almost always nonchalant with things. That’s when I realized that it sort of runs in the family. No one really has any anxiety issues or nervousness. Everyone’s just calm most of the time.
I just don’t know what to say to Daxus next time when I see him. Richard leaves tomorrow and it’ll just be us at school together.
Your son,
Rico
