I'm in the woods i didn't go home because I he might go there an look for me. I've fallen and tripped more than 7 times. Why does it have to be so dark outside? I hear loud breaths and footsteps. Not footsteps from one person. It sounds like a big group of people. I hurry over to a big tree and hide behind it.

The footsteps stop and a man with a deep voice speaks. "The scent ends here. Where is she?"
Werewolves.
"Let's spread out." Says another low voice.

"Wait....we know you can hear us. If you come out now, we won't do anything bad to you."

"...yet" says another voice.

They wait a few seconds before I hear them to start moving. I never should've left. Matt had told me once to stay near him because something might happen. He told me to do something if I'm ever in this situation but I forgot. I hear footsteps getting closer to me so I slowly duck down and try and grab something to protect myself with while I think of what he told me to do.

I hear moving until I know for sure someone is right behind the tree and as soon as they look on the other side they'll see me. I slowly stand back up with out making a noise. The person on the other side of the tree comes to my side and I quickly get the heavy stick I picked up and smack them in the head with it. They fall to the ground and slowly get back up and quickly run. The person screams out that I'm running back in the direction they came from an that's when I remember what I was suppose to do. Call for him. How could I forget?

"MATT!!!" I scream as loud as I can.

I look back and see the group chasing after me thst when I fell. No! Not now. Not again. I try and hurry up but I hear growling and barks. They've shifted into their werewolf form and I quickly shut my eyes tight. I can't turn I'm not match for a group of werewolves. Nothing happens to me I hear wolves crying and paws running away. I slowly open my eyes and see Matt right there.

He changed back out of his wolf and looked at me with sorry and sad eyes. He quickly wrapped me in an embrace and whispered "it's okay" and "I'm with you know" into my ear as I cried and cried and cried.

Later I'm back at Matts house and he told the pack about what happened. Turns out that there are packs trying to attack other groups for power. I just don't understand why they would want me.

"Okay so tell us everything that happened."
I tell them how I was running away and why and then I told them how I whacked one with a stick and how I had to run faster then I've ever had to run before. To be honest I think I need to get in shape.

"You hit one with a stick?" Says a pack member as they start laughing

My cheeks go red "w-well what else would I have done?"

Matt gives me a small smile and a kiss on the cheek.

"C'mere I need to talk to you in private." Matt says putting his hand in mine. I follow him to his room and sit down on his bed with him.

"Nicole, you need to know that Rachel means nothing to me. I don't even know how she got in here. I love you. I wouldn't leave you for anyone. You're my mate. I don't want to lose you."

"I love you too." I smile and he returns the favor. He leans down and slowly pushes his lips against mine. Making me feel like I'm going to melt until he pulls away, smiles again and pulls me up.

Later that night Matt and me planed on sleeping together. No, I don't mean like having sex, I mean just cuddling and sleeping. That's all. He said he had to go to the bathroom but it's been awhile so I go and check on him. That's until I see him in a room with his father. What's his dad doing here?

"Spy's."

"Who would spy on us?" Matt asks

"I don't know but it seems like that girl is causing a lot of trouble. Get rid of her. She can't even take care of the pack. And you says she hasn't turned you expect this girl to be the luna?"

"Shutup. We aren't talking about her we're taking about the other groups. Maybe it's just rouges?"

"Son, it's both and we have to talk about the girl. She means a lot to you right?"

"Yes." Matt says looking his dad in they eye

"Somehow they know that so that will be their target. They will try to aim for what mean most to you. They will do anything to get to it. You have to keep her safe. She needs to take training if she is still going to stay here with you and not go home."

" I don't want to take any risks...I'll send her home until it's over."

Send me home? No way. I'm not going home.

"When are you telling her?" His dad asks

"In the morning."

They exchange their goodbyes and so I head back to the room. I'm so confused. His father and him seem to get along fine well they did this time at least. And if he thinks he's going to send me home, he needs to think again.
