The Alpha

Chapter 3

School just ended I'm running to the entrance of the school and wait for Maddie. She's walking home with me so we can get the party started. A crowd of people start coming out of the doors so i move over so I don't get pushed around.

Five minutes passed and Maddie still hasn't come out of the doors. I sigh and start walking by myself.

When I make it home the lights are off and it's awfully quiet. I walk over to turn the light on.

" SUPRISE!!!" I turn around to see Adam, Maddie, and my dad with their hands in the air and a big fat smile on their face. I roll my eyes.

"What are y'all doing?"

"Surprising you, duh." Adam says

"You we're suppose to walk me home Maddie!" She smiles and starts walking towards me. "Look I-" I cut her off and grab her arm. "Come on!" I drag her to my room. "So are we going to the movies?" Yeah...I was planning in going to the movies for my birthday. I've ran out of ideas. She smiles " i have a better idea. Let's throw a party!" I hate big parties. I make up the first excuse that comes into my mind.

"You know what....I'm suddenly feeling very sick...." I try to take a cough but she doesn't buy it. She crosses her arms over her chest. I sigh and plop down on my bed and look at my ceiling. "My dad and brother are home there's no way we can throw a party." She smiles and runs down stairs.

A few moments later she comes back and has the biggest smile on her face. I furrow my brows. "What?"

"Now we can throw a party!" I look at her dumbfounded. She grabs me by the wrist and brings me downstairs. "Your dad and brother aren't home anymore."

"Wait where are-"

"No need to worry. You said no to throwing a party because of them being here right? They're not anymore." I am taken aback. I snap back into reality.

"We have nobody else here but you."

She gives an evil smile and grabs her phone.
