Chapter Sixteen

Elena

Today is the day. Today is when Patty leaves for tour. Today is the day part of my heart dies. But, my heart won't completely die. Hopefully. I still have Ginny and Luke and and Marina. Maybe I could even go see my family. Oh no way. I get shaken from my thoughts by Patty grabbing my hand. I look over to him driving, smiling like an idiot.

"You know baby, I am going to miss you so much, I am going to stalk your Instagram and Twitter." He chuckles at my remark and I grin like a fool. He brings my warm hand to his soft lips and kisses them lightly. I blush slightly and squeeze his hand. We finally arrive at Gatwick Airport. We pull into a parking space and Patty just sits there, looking at me. I glance to the clock on the radio. It says 3:00. I look back to Patty's deep green eyes.

"Patty, you know your flight leaves in less than hour, right?" He sighs, and moves a loose piece of hair behind my ear.

"Yes I know love. I just know when I go in there, I will have to say good bye and I don't think I'm ready for that yet." I exhale loudly and put my head on Patty's shoulder. He rubs my back soothingly, whispering things in my ear. I look up at him again. I gaze into his beautiful green eyes. I lean in very closely to his face and kiss him passionately. At first he gasps but then he kisses me back. His lips feel warm against mine. Oh boy I am going to miss this. I'm going to miss us.

Patty

"Bye Luke!! Keep Ginny safe and treat her right!" I shout out to one of my best friends. Luke smiles and nods his ginger head at me. He takes Ginny's hand and waves at me and my band.

"Flight 28 is boarding now." The woman on the over speaker says. I sigh. Andy, Alistair and Foley are waiting to get on the plane.

"Go on ahead guys. I'll be there soon. Ben you too. Go get on the plane. I'll be just a minuet." The guys nod their heads and grab their suitcases and roll over to the plane entrance. Quickly, I grab both of Elena's hands and look deep into her beautiful blue eyes.

"Elena. I love you with all of my heart and every ounce of my being. I want you to remember that while I am away. Can you do that for me, love?" Tears slide down her face as she nodded. I smile at her.

"Aw love don't cry," I say as I wipe the tears from her face, "I'll be back soon enough. But for right now, I want to give you this." I reach into my pocket and pull out a sliver locket on a silver chain. I put it around her neck. It looks just as beautiful as I thought it would when I bought it. I lean in and kiss her forehead.

"Don't open it until you get home, alright love? I have to go now. I love you. I always will." I kissed her so passionately on the mouth that I thought the world was going to explode. I press my forehead against hers and she whispers softly so that I only could hear her.

"I love you Patty as well. Be safe, think of me, and think of our love. Now go on that plane and become the pop punk singer like you always wanted. I love you." And with that, I left my precious Elena. Tears streaming down my face, I walked bravely into the plane entrance, looking back at my beautiful Elena, missing her already.

The drive home was unbearable. I missed my Patty already. Tears are still streaming down my face as I drive home in Patty's car. I hear my phone go off and smile slightly. It's barely been five minutes and he is already texting me. I turn up the radio to blur out the noise of my phone going off. As It Is, Dial Tones is playing. The tears begin to flow faster when Patty's voice comes over the radio.

It really hurts to know that I'm lying here and the beds half empty. That makes my heart flutter. Oh god I miss him so much. I wipe a few stray tears so I can drive down the road . Eventually, I make it home to find Ginny and Luke cuddled up on the couch, watching a movie. Most likely Lord of the Rings. Normally I would join them but I am too tired to.
