Elena

"A what?" Ginny stutters. I feel tears stinging my eyes. I ignore Ginny and look up at the Detective.

"Is this for real? You aren't shitting me?" I spit out. Detective Eric's face goes into shock. He clears his throat.

"Yes it is real. Will slit his wrists until he bled out. I am sorry for your loss. The funeral is this Thursday." With that Detective Eric gets up and leaves my house. I sit there in between Ginny and Patty with my face in my hands. Patty rubs my back, whispering things I can't hear. Will is dead. Because of me.

"Elena, read us the note " Ginny says quietly.

"Okay."  I sigh and begin to read the note.

Dear Elena,
aI always loved. I always have and always will. When your blonde haired boyfriend kicked my ass in front of you, I knew it was over. I am tired of losing you. So I decided that I am going to leave. Forever. I love you forever and always.
Will Herondale.

"By the angel.." Ginny breathed out. At this point I'm crying. Patty and Ginny are holding me. I bolt up. They both look at me. Tears stream down my face.

"Its all my fucking fault!!" I scream. I pick up a glass that was sitting on the table and throw it. It hits the wall and smashes. I sit on the ground crying. I feel a slippery, wet substance on my hand. I look down to my left hand and there is a big nasty cut there and is pooling out blood. I hear Patty sigh.

"Ginny can you pick up the glass? I will take care of Elena." She nods her head, and runs off to the kitchen. I am still sitting there, crying and looking at my bleeding hand.

"Elena, what am I going to do with you?" I shrug and he chuckles. He picks me up and takes me to the bathroom. He sits me down on the sink. He looks me in the eyes.

"Elena. Listen here. It was not your fault he committed. He was a guy who didn't know better. He was probably high or drunk. Not your fault. And if you ever hurt yourself again, I will only have to do it to myself." He gestured to the cut on my hand. I nod my head. He smiles and turns on the faucet and rinses my hand. He hums Young Volcanoes by Fall Out Boy while he cleans my cut. When he's all done, he puts his hands on my thighs and leans up to me. His lips brush mine and I push my lips firmly against his. He wraps his arms around my waist. My hands go through his hair. I pull away from him and blush. Patty always has this effect on me.
"Not now. Later I promise." I kiss his cheek and hop off the counter and run downstairs. Ginny is picking up the pieces of glass. I kneel beside her.

"Ginny, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to break a glass. I was just frustrated. and sad. I'm sorry I put you through so much-" she breaks me off when she pulls me into a hug.

"It is okay Elena. You are my best friend. Nothing can separate us. " I sniffle a bit and hug her tighter. I hear a cough in the back ground. I turn around and Patty is standing there. He is holding a bag and he is dressed. Black shirt, jeans, and vans. Typical Patty outfit. He started to rub his neck and smirk.

"I am gonna go home and shower and eat something and tell the guys what happened. You two should do the same." Patty walks over to me and kisses me on the head, then walks out. I help Ginny clean up the mess and then we make some hot chocolate and and sit on the couch and talk.

"Ginny do you have plans on Thursday?" I ask. I am leaning against the arm on the couch and holding a mug of hot chocolate. I take a sip.

"Uh Luke and I were planning on going out. But if you want me to-" I cut her off quickly.

"Oh no no. Go on your date with Luke. I can go by myself to the funeral or I will take Patty with me."

"Thank you Elena. I am really sorry about Will. But just so you know he was an absolute shit head." I smile and nod my head. Ginny rarely if ever swears.

"That he was." I take another sip of hot chocolate. It tastes like a chocolaty explosion.

~~~Le time skip~~~
"All right Elena you ready?" Patty says as he knocks on the bathroom door.
"Yea I am ready." I am wearing the same outfit I wore to my birthday party. I inhale and exhale slowly and open the door. Patty stands there in a white dress shirt and black jeans. He looks absolutely handsome. His nose ring stands out but I don't care.
"You look great baby." He kisses my cheek and grabs my hand. His is firm while mine is small and sweaty. We walk out to the car and Patty drives to the funeral home. Five minuets later we arrive. I inhale and exhale.
"You gonna be alright, angel?" I nod my head. We walk in, his arm is wrapped around my waist.
"Hello! Welcome. Pray for Will." A perky brunette says to Patty and me. I nod my head and walk into the funeral home. There are dozens of people. Some from Will's family and his friends. The other people I don't know. Then I see it. The white coffin. I look up at Patty.
"I..I uh want to.. uhm" He chuckles lightly. He leads me over to the coffin. I peer inside. There is Will, in a suit that is rolled up to his elbows. You can see the marks on his wrists. His eyes are closed and he is holding a picture of me on his chest. I couldn't keep it in anymore. I let everything out then and there. By everything I mean the sand which I ate before I came here.
