"My King , but we were expecting to have a war " Zhan said shocked .
How on earth did the cruel and arrogant king of Gusu decided to join hands in friendship . Cheng was also not processing all of the sudden change in events
Xichen took the opportunity to explain as he smiled beautifully and elegantly put his chopsticks down
"Prince Xiao Zhan, I understand your confusion . I know it was hard but it was not impossible. Something made our king forget about the war . Now nothing matters to him more than that "
Zhan mentally scoffed At xichens words ,
' huh! Praising his king all the time , that ugly , fat and stupid as fuck king will now treat everything like a piece of cake . Let him step into this Kingdom I'll make him regret his existence '
Zhan thought as he gritted his teeth . Cheng noticed and nudged him to maintain his facial expression which were making the guest uncomfortable.
The king and Queen stayed silent . They still can't really get it straight , seems like they have to wait for the king to come himself and explain everything .
They ate their lunch as cheng couldn't help but steal a few glances of the Gusu minister who makes him feel things he never felt .
"My king and my queen , I will take my leave " Xichen bowed as Mo Xing nodded
"Thank you for the gifts we are eagerly waiting for the King's arrival "
Xichen smiled bowing again and taking his farewell .
Zhan was about to ask something when queen raised her hand indicating to stop
"Let's talk some other day my prince " she said in husky tone
Zhan despite the war going inside his brain nodded and bowed leaving the hall with cheng .
"Cheng don't you think something is wrong ?" Zhan decided to bug his brother about it
"Zhan I know this is literally unexpected but you know we have to stay out of it . It's good the war is not happening anymore everyone can live peacefully " cheng said as he matched his steps with Zhan
"Ahh no one will ever talk wisely " Zhan groaned in frustration speed walking to his chamber .
MEANWHILE :
AT THE GRAND HALL
"My king what are your thoughts on all of this ?" The Queen asked anxiously making , her husband, the king sigh
"I don't know .... Xichen said that it's something good and we shouldn't be worried but I can't get it off my mind that how can yibo join hands in friendship now but not in the past years"
The Queen nodded in agreement
"I agree ! I just want to spread peace and harmony among the two kingdoms and happily fulfil lu's wish to a better yibo "
The Queen said and the king warmly smiled kissing her hand
"Very soon baobei, very soon " .
LOCATION : GUSU KINGDOM
Xichen walked towards the King's chamber but he was stopped by the guards at the door
"Minister ! The king is not available in his room he went to the Gusu Gardens " the guard spoke in a bold and defined voice .
Xichen nodded and walked to the garden and saw yibo playing with the rabbits
"My king " Xichen spoke bowing
Yibo immediately let go of the rabbits when he heard someone but sighed in relief when he saw who it was
"Minister you startled me " yibo Said as he took the rabbit again in his hands
"I apologise my king " Xichen bowed and walked a little closer to yibo
"How did it go ?" Yibo asked his eyes still fixed on the rabbit
"It went well ! They are waiting for your arrival impatiently , they seemed curious and confused " Xichen honestly spoke
Yibo hummed and coughed lightly as he asked
"H-how was he ?" Yibo got embarrassed after asking and turned his blushing face .
This made Xichen lightly chuckled
"He was looking healthy and handsome my king " Xichen said as yibo hummed shyly
"I'll go next week prepare some more gifts this time a bit unique also I want the rarest ring for my soon to be concubine " yibo said and Xichen nodded
"I will make sure to arrange the best ones "
MEANWHILE :
AT THE ARMY CHAMBERS
Min Chong was clenching on his fists tight . The war not happening anymore is killing him from inside . He huffed a few times and grabbed a parchment and quilt and started writing . He will make this happen . These two kingdoms will never be one .
TIME SKIP :
AFTER 1 WEEK
LOCATION : LOTUS KINGDOM
There was a huge bustling of maidens and butlers . Everyone was running to do something . The Lotus Palace was beautifully decorated . Every kind of special food was made . Various performances were prepared by the artists of the Kingdom . Today they were happy . Finally after the trials of almost 6 years they will finally open the gates .
Cheng was already dressed up specifically for someone who is coming along with King . Meanwhile, Zhan was sleeping dead in his room snoring cutely . Cheng who just came in threw a pillow at Zhan
"Ya! Get up the King will arrive in no time , mother strictly said to be there on time you brat "
Cheng spoke angrily and Zhan only turned deaf ear to his words
"That fat king will take 1 hour to get on the horse and then the horse will walk him slowly because of his weight and that will take 2 hours ...so when we sum it up its 3 hour . So I can still sleep "
Cheng stared at Zhan in disbelief and kicked him a few times before going out of the room .
The king and Queen were dressed up as well . Excited to see the king and know his reason for such decision .
LOCATION : GUSU KINGDOM
yibo was freaking out . He hardly maintained himself when he was being dressed . He was currently pacing through the room like a total changed yibo .
"My King calm do-"
" how do you expect me to calm down ?! What if they reject my proposal ?! What if I embarrass myself ?! What If I faint when I look at that beauty ?!" Yibo spoke nonsense making Xichen sigh for the nth time
"My king please relax , I'm sure you will be okay just pull yourself together "
Xichen said trying make the childish king understand .
"My king ! We should head out its already late " Xichen continued and yibo nodded grabbing his sword and walking out of the room . The maidens blushed when they saw the king who was looking exceptionally handsome . His perfectly styled hair and well fitted clothes tracing his biceps .
Yibo elegantly got on his horse making the maidens drool .
Min Chong was groaning in anger as the palace doors opened and they started their journey towards the Lotus Kingdom whose shared gate was already opened .
LOCATION : LOTUS KINGDOM
The king , Queen and cheng were standing in the entrance waiting for the arrival of the king . They prepared some flowers to present it as welcome gift to the king . Zhan was getting ready fixing his hair while badmouthing the king of course .
The maidens and butlers stayed anticipated to see if the king really looked like the drawings in the market .
everyone turned their attention to the big door which opened and the horses rushed in controlled by the owners . Yibo was in the middle of the crowd . Everyone was tiptoeing to see the fat , ugly king but their breaths hitched when they saw how the king actually looked . Totally mesmerising, a definition of perfect creation . Cheng mouth was hanged open as the king and Queen looked at each other in shock .
Yibo got of the horse and neatened his clothes as manly walked towards the crowd . His eyes were looking for the certain someone who was no where to be seen but he was snatched back into the reality by a rigid voice
"King of the lotus " king bowed to yibo who bowed back
"King of the Gusu " after him the queen and cheng bowed and introduced
"The Queen of the Lotus " she said softly
"The first born Prince of the Lotus " cheng bowed too
Yibo nodded and was about say something when Zhan came running his eyes facing ground bowing
"I apologise for the late arrival , I am the second born Prince of the Lotus "
Yibo felt like fainting . His lover's voice is so sweet and charming .
Yibo was so weak right now on his feet . He just can't believe .
Xichen noticed and ran to safe his king from embarrassment .
"My king let's proceed " xichen's words made yibo aware of his actions as he nodded and coughed lightly . At the same time Zhan looked up and he was starstruck
"u-ugly , f-fat" he whispered as he looked at the king . Damn he is hot and so handsome . The ugly and fat words are a shame to him . He is divinely handsome .
