The Illustrious King

CHAPTER : 02

Yibo was currently sitting down in his room , planning strategies. Just then a knock was heard on the door . Yibo looked up and ordered in his loud voice " come in " . The minister walked inside with two guards holding a big treasure box.  They bowed as yibo nodded.
"What is it Xichen? " yibo asked,  eyeing the guards .
"My king , I present this gift from the East Kingdom for our honorable king " Xichen spoke in a solace voice.
The guards opened the box and a beautiful pair of binoculars,  made from pure gold was presented to yibo .
"Oho!  That's impressive send a thankful letter to the kingdom I'm happy with the gift " yibo spoke while tracing his fingers over the velvety gold body of the binoculars .
Xichen bowed and asked the guards to leave . Once the door closed , Xichen looked over at his king who was admiring the gift . "My king , the war is going to happen in any of the following days. The war 6 years ago did a lot of damage to the kingdom and we had to loan money from other kingdoms to make up the damage . Therefore my king I suggest you to think over the war "
Minister Xichen spoke hesitantly as yibo closed the box leaning back in his chair .
"You know if someone other than you said this to me , I would have cut their throats " yibo coldly uttered as Xichen could only sigh mentally at his king words .
"This war needs to happen ! I want that Kingdom ! I want to demolish these walls and make it a part of my Kingdom . Wouldn't  you like to make our Kingdom bigger ?" Yibo said as Xichen clenched his fists and spoke
"My king I also want you to know that late king held a war against every Kingdom but lotus Kingdom . Your mother , the late queen belongs from the lotus Kingdom . I suggest you to keep your ego down and respect the tradition of your family " Xichen poured out the words . Yibo banged the table and stood up .
"Lan Xichen! " he voiced  "you crossed your limits ! Right now I'm your king what the late king and Queen did was their matter not mine . I want lotus Kingdom that's it ! Be it by hook or crook I want it . " yibo raged out as Xichen bowed and apologised leaving the room .
Yibo sat down drunk by the anger . He walked over to his balcony and looked at the lotus palace which was just in front of his palace . Yibo smirked "it will be mine soon , I get what I want "

BACKGROUND :

LOTUS KINGDOM  AND GUSU KINGDOM FRIENDSHIP :

Back in the days when King Wang Cheng used to rule the friendship between the two kingdoms was unbreakable.  The tradition of their unbreakable friendship was followed by centuries . The two Kingdoms held a war against every Kingdom but not each other . The late Queen Wang lu was the sister cousin of Queen baozhai.  The two Queens were best friends . When both of them got married to the respective Kings they promised to carry on their friendship by marrying the future prince and Princess to each other . When Yibo was born , the Prince of The Gusu Kingdom,  the Queens were  in a surreal happiness . In the following next year Xiao ZhuoCheng was born but the Queens didn't give up as baozhai got pregnant again after 3 years . "Baozhai now give a princess to my prince " queen lu giggled as the other queen rolled her eyes playfully and massaged her bump.
"What if it's not a princess ...what are you going to do then " she spoke gleefully as lu pouted
"Then I'll marry my prince to your prince " baozhai laughed "cut sleeves ? Haha lu you are too funny . well whoever is here " she pointed at her bump and then spoke again "will be the future concubine of your prince " both of them laughed joyfully knotting the ties but who knew what was going to happen in future . After the sudden death of the king and Queen of the Gusu Kingdom every promise of them shattered . The evils of the Gusu Kingdom crowned the little yibo as the king and infected his mind against the neighbour Kingdom . The little yibo who knew nothing about the politics was dumbfounded but put a stamp over anything that was put on his desk by the officials . Xichen at that time was locked in the dungeon who opposed the wrong doings . Queen baozhai and King Mo Xing were completely lost as they didn't know what to do and how the tables turned . The war invitation broke the queen as she lamented over the old good days . The king and queen tried to talk to the young king who did nothing put stamps over the orders that he wasn't even aware off and got to hear false stories about the neighbour Kingdom . The king and queen also gave up and trained their army against the kingdom. And that's when the first war happened and a great destruction was done mostly to the Gusu Kingdom whose king was still young and the strategies of his men were not as strong as the king of the lotus . This made the young yibo egoistic  and promise to conquer the kingdom in future .

LOCATION : LOTUS KINGDOM

  The Queen was having lunch with Prince Xiao Zhan.  "Prince I want to know how is your health ?" Zhan looked up at his mother "it's good my queen , my heat cycle is controlled by the medicines you gave me " Zhan said as the queen nodded "Zhan ..." the queen formally spoke "I want you to never ever indulge yourself in the war . I care for you . The king is cruel . We never know what will happen in the war and if the king captured you and cheng especially you , the things would get worse " she softly caressed zhans cheek
"mom why me ? Is it because I'm an omega ?" He asked sadly as the queen sighed and nodded
"you are an omega Zhan , you do know how the slaves captured in the war are treated . You are special and I don't want you to be a part of it and question your existence . You are a treasure . A treasure I kept for my friend's promise. I want you to go to the Gusu Kingdom in a respectful way not as a slave . Therefore , you must never come out in the war . " the queen hesitantly spoke as a tear escaped her eye which was cleaned by Zhan 
"mom I will try my best " Zhan said still confused over the part 'going to Gusu in a respectful way and treasure kept for a friend's promise ' .
Baozhai took out a beautifully covered letter and gave it to Zhan "here .." she said as Zhan took it
"don't open it now ,  if something ever happened to me and your dad ....open it then " she said in between the tears as zhan also got emotional and without a second thought he hugged his mother crying in each other's arms .

LOCATION : GUSU KINGDOM

Lan Xichen was sitting in his room thinking of ways to end the useless feud . He never in a million years would ever want a war between the two kingdoms . The one that happened was because he was powerless and locked in dungeon . He had to escape the dungeons and kneel in front of the young king to remind him that he was the minister and he will serve the king just like his parents . Yibo who spent a good time with Xichen agreed which made the evils jealous .
"I will not let this happen ever ! I will do my best to let the king and queen down now that I'm in power " Xichen mumbled to himself .
Meanwhile , yibo was standing in the balcony trying the new binoculars . He fixed the range and zoomed in more invading the privacy of the Lotus palace . He smirked to himself as he thought demolish the palace in future . But his hands stopped moving as his eyes were fixed on something or should we say someone. The boy was playing with rabbits and was undeniably beautiful . Yibos heart started beating faster and he felt butterflies in his stomach
"What a beauty " he mumbled as he kept staring .
