In a new light

The next day

Paul's POV

Today was Trinitys birthday well Jacobs too but that's not important. Okay it is, but not for me trinity is what matters. I woke up and got some pants on then went out for a run. I hope she doesn't wake up before I get back. After my run I'm going to head home and shower. Try and cook trinity breakfast, but might have Emily help. I'm not the best in the kitchen so if I try it counts right.

"Emily I need your help" i said walking into Sam's place

"Is everything alright?" She asked

"Yes except I can't cook" I said softly

"He's trying to make breakfast for Trinity it's her birthday" sam chuckled

"Oh of course I'll help" she said

"Great thanks" i said and rushed back home

Please still be asleep, please don't be awake when I get back. Sure enough she wasn't awake when I got back. Great, I went upstairs and jumped in the shower. When I got back downstairs Emily was in the kitchen.

"Thanks by the way" i said

"Maybe she'll help you learn how to cook" Emily suggested

"Who knows maybe she will" I said softly

"So you have that look on your face" she said smiling

"What look?" I asked

"The same look sam and me had when we first spent the night together that look" she said

"Oh umm" I rubbed the back of my head

She laughed and I laughed shortly after.

Trinitys POV

My nose is what woke me up this morning. The smell of breakfast was overwhelming. I sat up and saw that Paul wasn't next to me. Although I doubt he's the one cooking he doesn't know how. So he obviously was having some form of help downstairs. I looked down realizing I was still naked and blushed. Remembering what we did yesterday rushed through my head.

"Hey I don't need to see that" it was Jacob

"Yea too much things we didn't need to see" Jared added

"Whoops didn't mean to do that" I said

"At least you didn't see it last night" Paul added

"Paul Lahote" I snapped

I heard laughing from downstairs and I rolled my eyes. I brushed off that the whole pack just saw a lot of things. I got dressed and headed downstairs to see breakfast made.

"I'll thank Emily later" i smirked knowing he definitely didn't know how to cook

"Hey it was my idea" he huffed

"Yes and I love you for the thought, but you need to learn to cook something at some point" i smiled

"And you can teach me but let's eat" he said kissing my lips softly

"Of course rebel" i smiled softly

The food was absolutely amazing and I was definitely thanking Emily. We ate and laughed about small jokes and for the first time. I felt at ease, happy and peaceful. I didn't feel the angry beast inside me wanting out. I didn't feel like the simplest thing would anger me and release that animal inside. I found my other half and I wouldn't have asked for anyone else. I made sure to only show Paul how I felt about what he did for me.

He turned to me with love in his eyes and he grabbed my cheek. I had happy tears I just realized that he was whipping away. I leaned into his hand and he pulled me closer to kiss me. It began to get heated and he picked me up setting me on the counter. I took his shirt off quickly throwing it behind him. He growled kissing my neck as I ran my hands down his back.

He gripped my hips tightly standing in between my legs. He took my shirt off and began to kiss my chest. We had been so focused on each other we didn't hear someone enter the house. That was until they cleared their throat and we both froze. I buried my head in Paul's chest blushing bright red. Paul stood in front keeping me covered as he looked at who entered the house.

It was sam whoops that wasn't supposed to happen. I giggled slipping off the counter putting my shirt on.

"Sorry sam" i smiled and walked out of the house hearing a groan from Paul

I laughed as I walked over to Emily's place where everyone else is.

"Sam totally cock blocked Paul" I said laughing

This caused everyone to burst into laughter all except Jacob. He was clenching his jaw and I knew if I tried to say something. That I would say something to only piss him off more. Which wouldn't turn out well and then it would end with someone hurt. I made sure to have them blocked from my thoughts. I didn't need him getting angrier, but when Paul walked in. Jacob lost it he pushed Paul out the door and punched him.

"Jacob stop it" i yelled

"What's your deal Jacob" Paul growled

"Your my problem" Jacob snapped

He punched Paul again and I growled, he was hurting my mate.

"Jacob stop or I swear I'll hurt you" I growled

Sam grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"Sam let go of me" i growled

"You shouldn't intervene" he said

Paul and Jacob went at it with the arguing and I became nervous. I was about to go stop it but Jared held my other arm. They were holding me back and then Paul and Jake shifted. They went at it and I growled pulling against the two males. They only held me tighter I began to panic. Worrying about Paul getting hurt or Jake going too far. My wolf began to whine seeing her mate being hurt by my brother.

Everything became blurry and it was like the air was ripped out of me. I stopped fighting against sam and Jared and fell to my knees. They called my name but it was faint, I was too worried about Paul getting hurt. I was gasping for air as tears fell down my face. What if he gets really hurt and I lose him my wolf whined. I couldn't focus on anything and my heart was breaking as if I was losing him.

"No, no, no, NOOOOO" I screamed and punched the ground full force
