Cupid at work

"No no no.. not like this.. you have to position your fingers correctly.", Jungkook scolded you.

"I am doing it like you showed me.", You complained.

"But that is not the right way to play that guitar chord, Peaches!!", he tried to calm down on seeing your sulky expression, "I thought you wanted to learn guitar seriously."

"I did, until you started yelling at me.", You kept your guitar on the side, "I thought it would be fun to learn on video call, but let's just talk." You pouted.

"Ok… ok.. I won't scold you.. I just took it too seriously.. I am sorry, peaches!", he instantly apologized.

"I will accept your apology only on one condition.. sing for me..", you demanded.

"Your wish is my command.", he smiled and quickly complied by singing one of his songs.

Just listening to his melodious voice was enough to melt away your anger, and you started smiling like an idiot. A lucky idiot, to be honest.

I miss him way too much.

You were so captivated by looking at Jungkook on the screen of your laptop, that time flew by. Conversation went from one topic to another. Neither of you wanted the call to end, neither of you wanted to say goodbye, and without even realizing your eyes became droopy and you dozed off.

Jungkook adorably gazed at you, wanting to touch that beautiful face of yours, to be able to feel the warmth of your skin, but he couldn't. All he could do was look at you from the screen, and that's what he did, till he also slipped into the dreamland, where he was able to hold you tight in his arms.

Next day

Jimin's POV

I had seen Jungkook go through so much over the years, and he bravely dealt with it all. He was doing the same this time as well.

On my way to the office, I gave Jungkook a call, since so much had been happening for the past few weeks. It was not the first time a dating rumour had come up, but nothing ever impacted him. This time, it was different.

He was trying to sound confident that it would not blow up further, but I knew it was all a facade to not have us worry along with him. I could sense his sadness, so I suggested he meet up with y/n and stop thinking about all this, but he blatantly declined, concerned that it might risk her identity.

With all this on my mind, I was walking towards the cafeteria. Wondering whether it would actually help that Jungkook announced the relationship, and then my eyes fell on y/n. She was sitting there, looking all gloomy, stirring the coffee in her mug.
And I kind of understood why Jungkook did what he did.

"Hii y/n.", I walked up to her.

"Oh hey Jimin. How are you?", She asked.

"I am doing great. How are YOU doing?", I looked at her carefully.

"I am also doing good."

"It doesn't look like it.", I politely said, trying to read her expressions, "Y/n, you know you can talk to me about ANYTHING… and I also know that you can't talk about Jungkook with anyone else, so feel free to vent out."

"Thanks Jimin… It's just that I am worried about him.. and I miss him a lot.. we have been just talking over the phone without meeting."

"So meet him.. what's stopping you?"

"He doesn't want to take any risk about my identity. Paparazzis might still be on his tail."

"That's one hell of a problem. But don't worry, nothing bad will happen. Jungkook's team will take care of it all."

"I really hope so.", She sighed.

Before I could say anything further, her colleague called her out for something and she excused herself.

I was left, sitting behind, with my worries. It hurt to see them suffer like this and I wanted to help, only if I knew how.

"What are you murmuring about?", I heard a deep voice from behind.

"Ohh hey Tae. Nothing much.. just some relationship trouble."

"Aren't you single?", Taehyung was shocked.

"Wow!! You didn't have to attack me like this.", I chuckled, and then added, "Not my relationship.. I am just trying to help a friend out.", And I went on to explain the situation without revealing their names and Jungkook's profession.

"If they can't meet at their places, you could just call them over at yours.", Taehyung casually said, while sipping tea.

"But… Oh god!! Yes… Kim Taehyung, you are a genius.", I jumped from my chair and hugged him.

Why didn't I think of this before??
