Kookie & Peaches

Waking up to the sound of birds chirping was not something you get to experience everyday, and it felt amazing.
You found yourself alone in the tent. Rubbing your eyes sleepily, you went into the house to look for Jungkook.

"Good morning babe", you heard him and turned around to see him in the kitchen.

"Good morning.. you woke up early!?", you started walking towards him.

"Why are you so surprised? I am not even that much of a sleepy-head."

"Hahaha.. I believe you..", you tried to keep a poker face.

"Yeah, I can see that on your face..", he pouted, "by the way, you should go and get ready. We are leaving in an hour. I have a surprise."

"Where are we going?"

"You will get to know in an hour. Now go.. I am making breakfast for us.", He held you by your shoulders and guided you to the stairs, to make you go upstairs.

"Ok ok..I am going..", you giggled.

After breakfast, you finally left for the surprise destination. On the radio, one of Jungkook's song was playing and you asked him about it, when suddenly your phone rang.

"Ohh.. it's dad… Kookie!! Please turn down the radio for a minute.", You hastily said.

Kookie?? Kookie!! Did she just give me a cute nickname?

With his cheeks turning pink, and this thought on his mind, he turned off the music.

"Hi dad.", You picked up the call.

"Hi peaches!! How is everything?"

Peaches!!?? Jungkook mouthed the words to you with a big grin on his face.

Gesturing him to keep quiet, you responded to your dad, "Yes dad, all good. You?"

"I just wanted to see if you could join us for dinner tonight."

"Dad, I would have loved to, but I am out of the city for a few days. I will call you once I come back?"

"Sure Peaches. But, are you alone? Is it a work thing? Or are you out with your boyfriend? Or- ", he asked out his fatherly curiosity.

"Dad-"

"Fine.. I am not going to interfere in your personal life.. Enjoy..Bye.."

"Thanks dad, bye!"

Y/N's POV

In a few minutes, we arrived at the location. I was taken aback to see a huge hot air balloon in the middle of a far-stretched ground.

"We are here for a hot air balloon ride?", I excitedly looked at Jungkook.

"Yes, this was the surprise that I had planned."

"It's so great.. I have never been on a hot air balloon before."

"Come on then, let's scratch it off your wishlist."
He took my hand and started walking towards a person, who seemed to be waiting for us.

That person was the pilot who will be riding with us along with a crew member. We greeted each other and he gave us instructions for the ride.

Usually, 10-15 people ride the balloon together, but Jungkook had booked it for a private ride, so that we can be comfortable without worrying about anything.

Once we settled in the basket of balloon and it started to ascend, my excitement also rose up. I held onto Jungkook while looking at the beautiful surroundings. He looked at me adorably as if I was a kid.
