Shiro's POV. Grand Narukami Shrine.

Yae: Ah, Shiro. What brings you here today?

I approached the fox envoy who is standing in front of the Sacred Sakura.

Shiro: Why? Am I not allowed to visit the shrine because I wanted to meditate and to rest from the busy city and noisy world?

Lady Miko laughed at my response.

Yae: Hehe.

Yae: Well, if that's your intention then, I guess it can help us with this issue.

Shiro: Hm? What do you mean?

She began explaining something that is very unusual to happen, especially to a place like the Grand Narukami Shrine.

Yae: The shrine maidens have sighted a "ghost" standing under the Sacred Sakura.

Shiro: Okay.........?

Yae: The other shrine maidens thought that it could probably be a visitor.

Yae: Some of them said that no such visitor exists during that time.

Shiro: Wait, first let me ask. What does this "visitor" looks like? When was this mysterious visitor spotted in front of the Sacred Sakura?

Yae: The visitor is said to be wearing a long white veil and a white kimono. They couldn't make out the face because the veil prevents them from uncovering the identity of the said visitor.

Yae: As for the time it was spotted, they say it was around midnight.

Shiro: Midnight, huh? Most common in haunting stories.

Yae: And to think I've seen that cliché in books that were published in my publishing house.

Shiro: So, this mysterious visitor visited the Grand Narukami Shrine at midnight. A visitor wearing a white kimono and a long white veil.

Shiro: Did this incident happened yesterday?

Yae: Yes.

Shiro: Huh? Strange..........

Shiro: A visitor that visits the shrine when midnight falls. The shrine maidens have claimed to have saw the visitor, while others said that the visitor doesn't even exists.

Shiro: So, you want me to catch this "ghost" or something?

Yae: As perspective as always.

Shiro: *sigh*

Yae: I guess you can use the same scenario when you first met Ei.

Shiro: Oh........yeah, right. But that wouldn't work. If the visitor really is a ghost, that ghost might even possess me or something.

Yae: Do you still have the omamori that I gave you before you and the Traveler confronted Ei in the Plane of Euthymia?

I put my hands on my pocket and pulls out the omamori.
