"You know you're in love when you don't want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."

- Dr. Seuss

The first time I saw him, Oliver Turd, it was at our University library. He had this natural charisma that everyone was attracted to. No one can  not talk to him without being infected with his witty answer and charming smile. He was one of those guys who anyone can talk to without feeling constantly judged.

When he first came to me asking me about a book I was holding. It was a novel I've been reading that time. I was shocked to know a guy doing law would be interested in literature. But like the shy introvert I was stammering over my words while telling him about it. I cringe still thinking about it. But he didn't seem to mind. Infact he looked even more curious than before a big smile taking over his face.

I remember it becoming a routine of ours. Talking about books then sometimes something personal. Through my darkest phase of life he seemed like a light send by the god. For me.  Breathing was easier with him around. So was smiling and sometimes laughing at his stupid antics. He said my smile was his favorite.

Who would have thought that the things he liked about me will turn into things that irritated him. My smile was one of those things.

I shook my head to come back to the present moment where I was sitting with my aunt in a restaurant. She was talking to a lady her age and they've going on and on about every small thing like weather, food and even their kids. She introduced us just now but my mind was preoccupied to remember anything. But her name was Ingrit and she lived two blocks away from aunt.

We were sitting near the end towards the side of the table. Turing to my right I gazed outside the windows to look at the pouring rain and people walking out with umbrellas.

There was a kind of mist surrounding the air around the town giving ne chills. Never before I liked rainy days but today for some unknown reason it was giving me a feeling of calmness.

Rain didn't seem to faze anyone as people were still regularly walking as they normally would. Sometimes nodding their head to one another in silent greeting. And for unknown reasons everyone seems to know each other. I guess living in a small town has the benefit of you knowing everyone.

Suddenly I felt a chill up my spine. It was like my intuition was telling me that someone was watching me. I tried to look around but saw nothing out of ordinary. I thought it was just a fragment of my imagination. Looking back one last time I turned my head back towards my aunt and the other lady trying to distract myself.

" They say he's going to stay a while here. He just came back yesterday. We don't know what brought him back but it seems like he's looking for someone." Ingrit, the lady my have been talking to said in a hushed tone to my aunt.

"It's weird. He never stays for more than a day necessary. Are you sure its not related to our ..." Aunt glanced at me coughing as she continued on.

"Ahem... Community." She finished.

" I think we should all be ready for the worst." Ingrid replied giving my aunt hands a squeeze.

I couldn't help but detect some kind of worry in both their tones. What's happening? Who are they talking about? Still I desperately tried not to pry in their conversation by looking down at my plate.

I was still getting the feeling that someone was watching me but some part of me knew it was futile to glance around because I wouldn't see anybody.
