The sound of my alarm clock jerked me awake.

5:20 was the usual time when I awaken, everyday; even in the weekends I wake up early. It's a habit I have even without my alarm.

I have a strict schedule for myself that I never had change.(Been following it since the fifth grade;Pretty proud of it)

Wake up, put on one of my various Navy Blue t-shirts and blue jeans, bush teeth, fix hair, Take My flinstone vitamin gummies, feed Pubbie his favorite snack which is tuna, make breakfast for my family, then sit down and wait for my older yet immature brother Dave.

As I made breakfast Dave came by hollering like a wolf, slapping me by the back of the head.

"What up little bro?" He smirked

"Breakfast that's what's up."
I sighed as I placed eggs separately on each plate.

"Whoo! My favorite! Gotta get some nutrients for game day!" He grabbed a plate, devouring the eggs in a second.

Dave was a Protagonist of course. The way he acted, the fact that the whole town knew him, his good looks, his charm.
He's a good guy but annoying.
Dave pushes me, teases me, takes attention from my mother and even Pubbie.

The moment Dave shows up I'm classified as a glass window to a bird. Invisible.
But I live with it.

"Morning Dave." My Mom yawned

"Morning Mom."

"You ready for the big game?" She asked

"Of course I am! Richwood high is gonna eat dirt while Eastwood high is dancing their asses off." Dave nearly yelled
My Mom giggled.

"Wait, but today aren't we gonna-you know..." I asked

"What?" Dave asked

"Well isn't today Dad's birthday...so aren't we gonna visit his grave?" I asked

"Gosh I nearly forgot! Thanks for reminding me Tony." My Mother thanked

"Anytime."

Dave suddenly gave an innocent face. Which I knew where he was going with this.

"But, Mom. Aren't you gonna see me win the big game? I mean this only happens once a year and I don't want you to miss it."

"I know hone bu-"

"It's because you don't care...I get it, Our dead Dad's birthday is more important than your stupid son's football game." Dave pouted.

I rolled my eyes automatically.
Predictable Dave, always playing that good old victim card of his.

"What, who said I didn't care?"

My Mom thought for a second

"How about we can visit your fathers grave another day and watch you're game is that alright?"

"Yeah." He gave a charming smile that made my Mom give him a loving look, but made me want to gag.

"Welp, we better get going, school's gonna start in twenty."Dave grabbed his keys, as I followed his lead to the car.

I sat in the passenger side as always, while Dave drove.
I always wondered when it was my turn to drive.

I had a license that I never used. When Dave got his license he got a car the same day. For me, I got a peice of cake. I mean it was a good cake but, then again it was for Dave's birthday. But things are alright. Again...I have Pubbie to look after me.

When we had made it to school a mob of football players and hot cheerleaders ran towards our car chanting Dave's name.

Dave smiled and hopped out of the car and started making out with a blonde cheerleader named Shelly, I tried opening the car door just for it to be closed once again.
