It was now 8:00 at night.
My Mom and Brother were still gone.

While me and Pubbie enjoyed the enlightenment of having the house to ourselves.

I lied on my bed looking up at the ceiling, tapping a pencil against my lip, a notebook placed on my stomach the top of the page read

Protagonist 101:

Pubbie suddenly jumped up the bed, staring at me.

"I just don't know Pubbie...Nothings coming to my head." I sighed

He just faced me with his crossed eyes, deciding to lie down on my feet.

"Maybe I should sit down on my desk."

I stood up from my bed, turning on the desk lamp, dropping the notebook on the center. I threw myself on the chair, staring at the notebook, brainstorming; Still no ideas.

"God! Just give me one idea!" I groaned as I banged my head against the desk.

Ironically something came as if a light bulb had turned on.

I wrote it down quickly.

"Talk to people"

I stared down at those words for a long time.

How can I do such a thing?
I can't even talk to my own brother without having some anxiety.

That's why I have Pubbie.
But I did manage to talk to Audrey, but...I made it so awkward. I always do.

I wrote one more thing down.

"Have courage."

Do I even have courage?
How funny just to think of it, me Tony Thompson, younger and socially awkward brother has courage. I don't even know how courage feels like.

I took the time to rehearse how I'd start talking to people with Pubbie.

"Hey I-I like your shoes, wanna be friends?"

Pubbie meowed

"What? To peachy?"

"Meow."

"Gosh your right." I groaned

"Meow."

"No, I'm not doing that."

"Meow."

"I'm not gonna start with her, I can't she probably thinks I'm to boring, to awkward Pubbie."

"...Meow..."

"Ugh. Fine, I'll try talking to Audrey tomorrow. But it's not gonna turn out well."

I suddenly heard the front door open. Dave was hollering like a wild animal. Pubbie jumped out of my room right away, I followed.

Of course Pubbie went towards Dave.

Dave grabbed Pubbie aggressively.

"WE WON PUBBIE! WE WON!" Dave yelled at his face, throwing him in the air.

"Tony can I talk to you for a moment?" My mom asked

"Umm, sure."

I followed her to the kitchen.

She looked at me, a bit stern in her blue eyes

"Now, I know today was you're father's birthday and you wanted to go visit him...But, you hurt your brother's feelings, The fact how you ditched him during the big game...I mean really Tony you should start focusing on him."

"S-sorry." I mumbled

"It's okay, did you eat?"

"Yeah, I made dinner."I pointed to the pot of spaghetti
