Later that day, I eventually went home. I kept my distance from dad because he seemed hurt. I started to clean up my room when my phone buzzed. I quickly read the text messages.

Ross: I miss you baby :(

I smile to myself and type back.

Ella: I miss you too :(
We'll hand out soon.

I read the next text message.

Unknown: stay away from
Ross, if you know what's
good for you.

I shrug it off and lock my phone. I finish cleaning my room so I sit at my computer. After an hour or so, my phone goes off again.

Dad: can we talk? Just me
and you?

Ella: sure. I'm in my room.

I go back to playing Run on my computer. My "dad" walks in and sits on the bed. "I just have 3 questions, then I'll leave you alone." I nod, indicating to go on. "Was what ross said last night, true?"

I pause the game and turn around. "Yeah.. I know that you don't try, but you've gotten so worked up over nothing lately. It scares me because I've heard your temper gets the best of you," I say quietly. "And yes to the other two things he said; I'm not elaborating on them."

He nods slowly. "Are you guys going to tell anyone?" He asks softly.

I shake my head. "Nope, nobody is supposed to know," I say confidently.

"Last question; did you guys...?"

I shake my head vigorously. "Ew, dad!" I laugh, attempting to lighten the mood. "No, but being serious, I would tell you." He looks at me weirdly. I shrug, "I feel like it's something you would need to know."

He hugs me before standing up. "I didn't tell mom. you can choose if you want to or not. But we're going to grandmas for a birthday party for Rocky and I." He says before walking out.

I smile as he closes the door. I jump for my phone.

Ella: meet me by the shed at
your moms house.

Ross: see you soon ;)

"Ella! Sweetie, we're leaving!" Riker yells.

I grab my purse, with an extra outfit, money and my phone+charger. I run to the door, locking it behind me. We walk out of the apartment together. "Are you excited, dad?" I ask as he starts driving.

He nods. "Yeah, I guess," he sighs.

I lean forward and rub his shoulder. He smiles at me through the rearview mirror. "You'll have fun," mom says softly.

When we get there, I set my search for Ross. I find him leant against the shed. I look around and make sure no ones around. His face lights up when he sees me. "Hey, beautiful," he pecks my lips softly.

I blush as he grabs my hand. We talk for a while before everyone gets here.
