Renji sat on an aged and sort of uncomfortable dark gray couch, his hands resting his lap; resting as much as they could between picking at his skin and nails nervously. Looking down to his knees with an anxious smile plastered on his face, heart thumping in his throat whilst he heard shuffling in the small kitchen area behind him. "Dude? Seriously? Who's the hottie? Nah, doesn't matter, tell me how it goes! Don't forget to be safe," those words that came from a very hormonal Ganju rang throughout his head, the look that was on his face.. disturbed him to say the least, he could tell what the slightly taller teen was thinking about.

He didn't even have his number, so he would have to go over the events vocally the next day, what if it goes wrong? Oh jeez what if I end up falling asleep? The anxious teen brought his hands up to his mouth and started to gnaw on his nails, staring at the tv stand in front of him; I shouldn't have come, shit, fuck me. "Monkey, is everything ok?" He jumped slightly whenever he felt a bigger hand rest itself on his shoulder, looking back to the owner's calming gray eyes. He started to feel himself relaxing, taking the time to breathe in and out slowly, nodded his head and turned his nervous frown into a slacken smile.

"Yeah, just nervous ya know?" The sixteen year old rested one of his hands on top of the larger and paler one on his shoulder, squeezing it gently. "Indeed, I do." Byakuya stood there for a moment, his eyes still connecting with innocent brown ones, how beautiful, he thought, his faint smile growing a little more. "As we discussed last night sexual encounters are off the table." The raven stated as if it was obvious, which it absolutely was; what he was trying to get at was that he was unsure if the red head would be ok with kisses or not. Though he saw that message didn't reach him since the teen before him nodded while his eyes trailed off to the side and held the expression of "yeah, no shit" on his face

"But," he started; words were hard. Especially in a situation he never really saw himself in. "What's goin' on in that head of yours Yaka?" The ginger chuckled a little and raised a very non existent eyebrow, his shy smile grew into a lopsided grin. "I'm trying to inquire if you'd allow me to kiss you." He said bluntly, this sent Renji for a loop. He nodded quickly as his eyes widened ecstatically, his grip tightening on Byakuya's hand, "kisses are great! Give 'em to me," the two chuckled a tad bit at the teen's enthusiasm.

The substitute teacher nodded and leaned down, placing a soft peck to the tattooed forehead in front of him. "Dinner should be ready in a little bit, would you mind if we started a movie while we wait?" The raven straightened back up, pushing some of the hair that had slipped out of his bun and touched his cheek behind his ear. "Nah, I don't mind. What's for dinner anyways?" Curiously Renji got onto his knees and looked over the back of the couch into the small kitchen area, seeing that the rice cooker was on and that there was a pot on the farthest corner of the stove, in front of said pot was a slightly dirtied cutting board and used knife.

"I will admit," the twenty-two year old sighed slightly as he walked around to the front of the couch and sat down next to his partner. "I didn't feel like making anything fancy, and there was a lack of proper food. So I just chopped up some vegetables and put them all together in some chicken broth." He chuckled a little and did a self soothing gesture—moving hair that wasn't there behind his ear—trying to calm his nerves. "I'm sure it'll be fine," the young Abarai shrugged and looked towards the man next to him, smiling and gently cupping the bun of hair. "You look really good with your hair like this Yaka," he shifted his position so he was sitting once more, his legs crossed under him; looking towards that hand he had so many fantasies about.

"Thank you Monkey," warm gray eyes looked towards wandering brown ones, smiling gently. "How was school?" "Meh, it could've been better," the younger male shrugged once more, slipping his hands into his hoodie pocket. One might have thought that he would wear something nice to a meal with his significant other, but not Renji Abarai, hoodie and black jeans it was. The eldest Kuchiki wasn't dressed any better, wearing a dark grey t-shirt that had a simple pair of glasses printed on the breast pocket and dark blue jeans. It didn't feel like anything fancy to either man, it just felt like they were hanging out; aside from the ever present jitters in both men due to them being in a very new relationship.

"Better as in I could've been teaching you all day?" The substitute watched as the very apathetic teen's face slowly took on a light shade of pink, shrinking into himself as he slouched. "That woulda been cool I guess," he grumbled and shrugged; averting his gaze as to avoid embarrassing himself further. The apartment owner chuckled a little and slowly placed an arm around the teen's shoulder, pulling the shorter male into his chest. The two didn't even have enough time to glance towards one another before the rice cooker went off. "Time for dinner," saved from their own awkwardness Renji leaned up and allowed his partner to get up and tend to the food, portioning out the soup between two bowls; some left in case anyone wanted seconds.
