Once the eldest Kuchiki returned to the couch with his little angel's dinner—rice and the amalgamation of unseasoned vegetable soup. Delivering his food with a kiss to his forehead, making the receiver smile whilst taking his soup. "Thanks Yaka," he looked down to his food then back up at the raven haired host who had already turned to retreat into the kitchen.

Renji waited for his lover to return before he ate, this was a date after all; he had to bust out the manners he rarely used at home. Just as his partner sat down he scooped up some rice with his spoon then dipped it into the soup before placing it in his mouth good idea Renji, he snickered a little to himself and continued to eat his dinner that way; thinking that he should just dump the rice into the soup.

"How is it?" The eldest Kuchiki inquired, slightly insecure about how the younger male viewed his meal, but smiled whenever he received a thumbs up since the redhead's mouth was full. "That's good, I'm glad you like it, there's more if you'd like seconds." Ah yes, the ever familiar third wheel named silence, the friend that made the two feel uncomfortable when they didn't know what to say or how to act around each other. The two looked straight ahead of them whilst they ate, as if that's where the third wheel sat and blabbered on in the void of nothingness. He was the center of attention and the couple knew that; one of them had to speak up to get rid of him. But they just didn't know what to talk about—that wasn't about school or work, they wanted to talk about each other; but not what they did during the day.

They knew what the other did, Byakuya worked and Renji went to school, they wanted to talk about hobbies they developed over the years, new movies that they found and enjoyed. Hell the two felt more comfortable having a conversation about sexual fantasies rather than talking about boring work and school life things. By the time the raven spoke up both men had finished their dinner and set their bowls in the kitchen sink, grabbed glasses of water and sat back down on the couch.

"Do you still play video games?" He was very hesitant to ask, not sure if the punk thought they were lame; just to seem cool. "Yeah, all the time," the young man smiled a little and looked up to the substitute teacher, leaning back against the arm rest while setting his legs in the taller male's lap; getting comfortable. "Still a book worm?" "I haven't read in a little bit due to work, but I do enjoy watching TV a little more," gray eyes focused on the tanned legs on his own, gently placing a hand on them and looking up to the owner; smiling softly. "That's cool, would you wanna. I dunno, watch me play a game next time we have a date or hang out or whatever?"

Mulling it over for a few moments in his slightly panicked mind—Byakuya imagined it, the slightly smaller teen in his lap on the ground in front of the TV whilst he played a video game; his smile turning into a slight grin. Nodding enthusiastically, "I'd like that. And you could teach me how to play if you'd like," "that would be dope!" Renji smiled widely and placed his hands behind his head—supporting it so he could stare at the beautiful creature that sat in front of him. "Man, you're really pretty, ya know that?" That compliment made the subject of it blush a little bit; glancing to the side as if to avoid his obvious embarrassment. "Thank you Monkey..you've certain grown into a very handsome young man...when are you getting your tattoos finished?" When the blood in his cheeks went away he looked back to the ginger who leaned his head to the side in thought, chewing on his bottom lip. "Eh, I dunno. Whenever I have enough money saved up to do it." He answered nonchalantly

"Of course, do you have any others?" "Nah, just the eyebrows. I wanna be covered in them though," the teen snickered cockily and sank into the couch more; looking up at the ceiling. "So much for the movie huh?" Brown eyes glanced over at the tv that hadn't been touched the entire time the two were together. This observation made the adult let out a nervous chuckle; nodding in agreement, "yes. Such a wonderful movie we watched," "whoa!" Renji sat up and placed a hand on Byakuya's shoulder, staring into his slightly surprised eyes. "Was that sarcasm that just came outta there?" "Renji, you act as if I'm not even a human sometimes,"

Black eyebrows gently furrowed whilst looking down at the teen who had hurt his feelings, "sorry, I'm just not used to that." The guilt ridden ginger quickly placed soft kisses to a very smooth, pale cheek—apologizing for hurting him. "You're forgiven," Byakuya glanced at the time on his phone, 7:58 sighing a little bit. "Renji, it's getting late. You should get home," he cupped Renji's cheek and kissed his forehead before standing up, running his hands along the front of his shirt to straighten it out, "aw man, really?" The teen groaned as he stood up and itched the back of his head, walking towards the door. "I had a great time though, maybe we could actually watch a movie next time." He chuckled a little, turning back towards his older partner to see him nodding and hiding a small chuckle behind his hand, "that would be nice."

The couple said their goodbyes as the highschooler slipped on his shoes, opened the door and released one last "I love you," then closed said door, smiling to himself before turning around and feeling both his heart and world breaking into a millions pieces.
