Norman and Emily laid in bed the rest of the day. They talked about their relationship and where they thought it should go. At around three Norman rose and got out of bed. He wrapped a towel around his waist and went to the bathroom. He took a shower and got cleaned up. He returned to bed to find Emily asleep.

He got in bed with her and pulled her close. Emily groaned and rolled over. Her mascara was in a stream down her face. She had been crying. Norman kissed her and gently moved hair out of her face. Norman wrapped her in his arms.

"Emily?" Norman said softly.

"Yes?" Emily said quietly.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm afraid... I'm afraid to let you in."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know if I'm ready to let someone into my heart," Emily said.

"Oh, Emily," Norman softly said, "You don't have to if you don't want to."

"But I love you," Emily said.

"And I love you, "Norman said, "But if it's too early to let me in, I understand."

Norman hung his head, feeling like crap. Just when he thought they might have a chance together, Emily gets cold feet. Emily kissed his cheek gently. She lifted his chin to look in his eyes. They were sad; hers were sad. Norman and Emily just looked at each other for a second. They had each been hurt in their own way in the past by people they had loved. Neither wanted to end up hurt again.

"What do we do?" Emily said.

"I don't know," Norman sighed.

Emily laid a hand on Norman's cheek and held it there. She gently kissed him, slipping him her tongue ever so slightly. Norman's eyes grew wide as they held the kiss. Emily pulled away and opened her eyes. Norman had a look of shock on his face. Emily snapped in front of his nose twice. Norman blinked and then returned to himself.

"I... huh, I don't know what to say," Norman said.

"How about, wow?" Emily gave a small smile.

"Wow," Norman said, gently placing a hand in her hair. Norman held her head for a moment before letting his arm go limp. He grabbed her butt and pulled her close. Emily blushed and wrapped her arms around his neck. Norman buried his face into Emily's neck, bombarding her with kisses. Emily smiled and took it. She felt so happy right now.

"Ok," Emily giggled, "I get it."

"Good," Norman planted one last kiss on her lips.

"You're the one," she said dreamily.

"What?" Norman said.

"You're the one that'll last, Norman."

"And you're the one that'll last with me, Emily."
