Norman hoisted Emily into the air smiling. He'd never felt this happy in a long time. Emily laughed and hugged him. She had tried so hard to keep it a secret, but her belly had begun to pudge out a little and it was going to be noticeable soon. Now she did not have to worry about it. Emily's feet met the ground, but she didn't notice.
Norman set her down and kissed her. His smile faded and his face came to rest. He wasn't sure what to do now. Yeah, he had Mingus. But that was when he was younger. Emily looked into his eyes and her smile faded, too.
"Now what?"
