It was another one of those days, wandering the outskirts of Cyber city. Nothing new or interesting to do. I was desperate for something, no, ANYTHING to happen.
I was starting to get bored with my day-to-day life, doing the same routine each day was mentally exhausting.I shoved my hands into my pockets, glancing up at the digital dark sky, green lines stretching for miles. I pushed air into my left cheek, standing still for a moment while I mentally argued with myself- as if I was going to win the argument. I shook my head, pulling my gaze away from the sky, continuing my path with no real destination. At least that was until I started hearing the subtle beat of music in the distance. I perk a brow in confusion, knowing how strict the Queen is when it comes to music or anything of the sort.
I don't hesitate to follow the sound, knowing this is exactly what I wanted, something to pique my interest and discover whatever was laying ahead. I gently bob my head to the beat of the music, imagination running wild over what I could possibly find.
Music? Hidden in the outskirts of the city where the queen doesn't often roam? It felt...rebellious. It was making my heart jump along with the beat itself.
I was closely approaching the mysterious music, reaching a corner, I turn it, to my surprise finding a shop with giant speakers on the side.
My eyes widen in surprise. "This is where it's coming from...?" I mutter to myself, standing in front of the building. "Makes sense." I tilt my head to the side slightly before walking up to the door, pulling the somewhat heavy door open.
Immediately my ears are filled with an upbeat tune, at the register was a shorter robot fellow with a stereo for a head, reading a magazine that I guessed had to do with the latest music trends. (all themed and sucking up towards the Queen.)
Behind him were two others much like him but taller. It seemed they were focused on creating new rhythms and beats."Hello?" I speak up, catching the first one's attention.
"Yo! Welcome to the Junk shop! A shop for all your music-related rebellious needs." he exclaims charismatically, setting down the magazine to give me his full attention.
"Isn't music banned? How is this place still up- I'm surprised the Queen hasn't blown it down to the ground..." I question, genuinely curious to how these three are able to sneak under Queen's radar. I walk closer to the counter, looking around at the cool equipment and flashy lights."Yeah, but we're rebelling against the Queen. Music is our passion, ya'know?" he tilts his head as he leans casually on the counter. 'That didn't really answer my question...' I think to myself, but let it slide.
"I like that- the rebelling. That's pretty cool." I compliment, smiling. "More people in the city should rebel like you guys. It would give it more taste." I chuckle, imagining a city coming together to overthrow the Queen. "I kinda miss the old queen, the "fun" Queen." I sigh."Yeah, but she's not gonna be herself 'till that fountain is sealed." he motions in the general direction of the mysterious dark fountain.
My eyes suddenly glance to the two other robo pals who noticed a customer was here, ending their jam session.
"Who's this? The taller green one asked, taking his place to the left of the one I was previously talking to, placing an arm on top of his head."A new hot mama?" the last one smirks, standing on the opposite side as he watched me through his shades. Making it near impossible to see his eyes.
The middle one tries to speak before stopping, a confused look brushes past his face before asking "hey, what's your name anyway?"
