After watching Susie and Berdly disappear into a mysterious secret door behind a bookshelf I turned to face Ralsei,
"Y/n, do you think of me as your lackey...?"
I met his eyes, blinking in disbelief.
"Of course not" I furrow my eyebrows with a half-smile, assuring Ralsei into not beliving Berdly's words.
"H-huh...? Y-you mean..."
'Y-You think of me as more than a lackey...?"I smiled fully continuing to follow our destined path down the red-carpeted hallway, entering a room that contained a pool filled with acid.
I step back, staring at the bright green ooze.
"A... A giant lake of acid!?" Ralsei jumped, also wondering how the hell we were going to pass it."Oh, you mean the free pool!" Queens voice boomed, appearing on a rather large screen that made Ralsei and I both jump back in surprise. Still on edge with everything frantic that's been happening.
"You will learn to love it like family" she assured.
"Family...?" I mumbled under my breath, raising a brow at her comment."Why do you have this??" Ralsei questioned dumbfoundedly.
"It is my mansions energy source and fun to drink!" she answered, the words 'true' flashing over her eyes."Bye!" she laughed, getting cut off halfway as we watched the screen turn black, and just like that she was gone once more, but probably still watching our every move.
We both paused, unknowing of what to say next.
"How...should we pass this?!" Ralsei asked, irritation in his voice.
I looked away from the screen, rotating around to see the space around me before my eyes landed on a large switch.
"Maybe this does something-" I reach forward to pull on it, hearing and seeing nothing for a few seconds before a large swan boat floated to the edge of the hall.
"I suppose...this...works." he giggled, rubbing his arm in a soothing action. We both hopped onto the boat, immediately it began moving as if it knew we were there.
"We need some way to distract the Queen..." Ralsei whispered to me, reminding me of our plan.
"Ohhh wow I'm so distracted!" Queen announced, her face flashing on a screen before disappearing again.I steadily steered the boat from side to side, hitting each house which somehow turned them from red to blue.
"What are these...little houses?" Ralsei asked the same question I also had brewing in my head.
"Just tropical villas for my guests, Isn't that thoughtful!" Queen answered,
"...how would anybody fit inside?" He continued questioning, clearly puzzled by the thought of people our size even attempting to get in.
"Shrink from the acid!" Queen answered immediately.
"-Y/n get the Banana" she quickly changed subjects, attention pulled to the banana in our path."Y- Y/n isn't going to do what you say!"
Rasei shouted, watching me steer for the banana.
"Sorry, Ralsei." I muttered, feeling a sense of guilt in my chest.
"Th-that's okay, Y/n. It's good for you."
He shyly muttered, a weary smile clung to his face as he glanced to the side.We drifted down the river of acid with a moment of peace, a soft playful song playing in the distance.
"...looks like we're coming up on a tunnel!" Ralsei pointed out, alerting me to the dim tunnel, the only light being the glow from the acid below.
