Ralsei x Sad/Depressed Reader

I sat on the ground with my head resting against the tree behind me, Living in the dark world with dark thoughts caressing my mind. I liked being in the forest to just sit and think.. although thinking to myself isn't always.. the smartest idea, but hey, what can I do? No one down here talks to me except for every once and a while seeing the kings son pass by trying to cause some kind of "bad guy" stuff.  He's.. an interesting one for sure, but he's entertaining to watch.  I let out a soft sigh and began to close my eyes, submerging into my thoughts.. Starting out happy but quickly fading into a much more darker mind space. I scrunched up my nose feeling my eyes  starting to well up with tears and letting them fall down my pale cheeks. I sniffled and glided my hand across my dagger holder that I always keep with me just in case. I'v never cut myself purposely.. but maybe it would help me better cope with how I feel..   thinking to myself, not realizing how idiotic of an idea it was in the moment.

Using my thumb I unlatched the button and slowly pulled out the blade, I opened my eyes to look at my arm before placing the sharp blade on my skin. I took a deep breath, bracing myself for the stinging sensation I was about to feel. "H-Hey wait..! Stop..!" I heard a soft voice shout from the trail ahead of me, startled, I panicked and stabbed the dirt with the knife and felt more tears starting to run down my face but tried to hide them by covering my face with my hands. I could feel my whole body shaking.. 'Stupid.. Stupid.. So stupid of me..'   I could hear their soft footsteps rush towards me, 'No.. go away.. go away.. please..'  I could hear their clothing shuffle as they, or what I presumed.. crouch in front of me. I was panicking, 'what do I do? how do I get out of this. '  "Excuse me.. Are you ok..?" He asked me, worry clearly in his voice.  I stayed silent, hoping if maybe, just maybe he will go away if I don't respond to anything.   I soon felt him place his hand on my shoulder, "Listen.. I uhm.. don't know what your going threw right now. But I will assure you, hurting yourself wont help." I stayed silent but his words echoed threw my head like a cave. "Please talk to me.." his voice grew more worried, "I want to help you.." I was hesitant but it made me sad.. 'did he actually care.. about me..?' I slowly lifted my tear stained face up, looking right into his eyes, concern painted across his face. I felt something light up inside of me, 'maybe.. he does really care..' I looked away trying not to let myself cry even more.

"Well.. this is a start.. My name is Ralsei.. Whats yours?" His voice was tinted with hope, 'Ralsei.. That's an interesting name.. I like it.' I looked back up at Ralsei to see a kind smile and took notice to his appearance, His green hat with a matching cloak, and the pink scarf that wrapped around his neck. The round glasses that sat on his face..  "Y/n.." I spoke lowly due to not speaking much.  "Y/n!" Ralsei's smile grew larger, "..That's a beautiful name!" My cheeks tinted pink from the sudden compliment, "Thank you.." I said smiling slightly, Its felt like forever since I'v had a real smile. He continued smiling at me before glancing at my arms, which I was holding close to my chest, He reached out his hands and asked if he could see them. I again hesitated but held them out, he gently held my wrists and looked around my arms before smiling relieved to see no cuts.  I watched him stand up and hold his hand out to me, offering to help stand up. I took his hand and stood up as well,  "I.. can help you walk to you house! ...If you want that is.." Ralsei offered, I smiled giggling slightly to myself before nodding my head. "That would be nice."

We walked along, talking and laughing.. genuine laughter..  Iv never felt so much joy in one day before. Ralsei.. he was so kind.. looking at his fluffy face brought me so much joy on its own. The closer we got to my house the more I dreaded it, I never knew I would meet someone like this. I looked ahead seeing my house and looked back at Ralsei, "Well.. This is where our talk comes to an end.." I sighed disappointed, He smiled and started speaking again "Well. We can see each other some other time! " I was a little surprised he wanted to see me again, "Really?" I asked slightly confused, "Yes silly! I'll see you.. Tomorrow maybe! If you want..!" I smiled before saying "Sure!" A little to excited..  I put a finger to my lips and giggled a little, waving goodbye I started to walk to my door before stopping like I forgot something. I looked back at Ralsei who was still standing their smiling kindly. I walked back up to him and hugged him tightly, "Thank you. Thank you so much for being there and stopping me.." I whispered, I felt him hug back and I squeezed him tighter before letting go and wiping a stray tear away, I was still smiling walking to my door. I stepped inside and began to close it before waving one last goodbye at Ralsei. 

I put my back against the door still smiling, My hand brushed up against my dagger holder and I realized I forgot it in the dirt. I shook my head thinking it was for the best that I forgot it..                   I went into my living room and sprawled my self across the couch, excited to see Ralsei tomorrow.
