"Hello beautiful." A voice that was all too familiar spoke from behind me.
Turning around I saw a man sitting on deeply colored green grass. The grass was cleanly cut. He sprawled himself out and lied down with his hands under his head. His hair was falling back but was only a few inches long. A light brown was highlighted by dark brown streaks.
He wore dark jeans and a t-shirt, but when he turned to look at me, I gasped. His eyes were normal besides the fact that his iris was as black as his pupal. Then again, maybe that was his pupal and there was no iris. He had sharp cheek bones and perfect teeth. His eyebrows arched as I scanned him down, looking for an imperfection.
I couldn't find one.
"Where am I?" Glancing around I only saw endless hills of grass, but I could smell salt, I wondered if we were by an ocean. I had never seen an ocean before.
"Not home sadly." He frowned and stood up.
"Who the hell are you?" I was starting to get angry. I knew I needed to be somewhere, I just couldn't remember where it was I needed to be.
"Wow. You've got a mouth on you since you left. To think I knew you for 500 years and so much can change in only 17."
Now I stepped back. How could he have known that? Unless he had known me under the watch of my keeper.
My keeper.
"Yes, your keeper! You have even lost some of your edge dear one." Shaking his head, he sighed and turned his back to me.
"Maybe it would help if I could remember who I was." I spat. I was never one to get angry, but right now I was pissed. My chest tightened and my fnigers started to switch.
"Ah, but then how would I get you to come home? See your different from the others. That makes you very special to me."
"The feeling isn't mutual." He spun around to face me once again and I began to laugh. I could feel the bitterness leaking out of it's edges.
The ground shook for a second, but I kept my balance. Standing up taller, I smirked. The man gave me a short look of surprise and spoke again.
"If it weren't for Blake, things would be different. You would be mine. I guess some of God's blessings do apply in Hell. He doesn't just give the finding of love to anyone you know, but to us he did. With the exception of me of course."
I grabbed the necklace Violet had given me, that I still hadn't taken off, and rubbed it slowly.
"Hell?" The word barly croaked out. The beads burned under my hands and they seemed like they shook with each time I clutched at them.
"Well where else would you be from?" His face was one of bewilderment. "Poor child, maybe a little memory wouldn't kill you. After all, to us you're already half dead."
He winked and the ground shook once again, but seemed like it was spinning. i fell on my ass and closed my eyes, pushing away the urge to throw up. Then I heard my keeper's voice again, but in a faint humming, like he was singing a song.

Paranormal"Why do you keep running?" The voice was deep and short of breath. He must have been running to chase me. "Why do you keep coming after me?" I asked. I was lying on the ground on my side, staring at the man before me. He lay the same way I did, loo...
