chapter 22 Brightfern

"It's almost Leaf-bare we need more catmint" Hazelleaf said

"We have all the catmint we can gather" Brightfern said

"We need to let it regrow" Brightfern said

"I just don't want to lose clan-mate's" Hazelleaf replied

"Well we good stocks of herbs for leaf-bare" Brightfern said

"Why don't we get something to eat" Brightfern suggested

"Good idea" Hazelleaf replied

And the two she-cats walked out of the den

"Hey Brightfern" Scarletrose said

"Hi" Brightfern replied

"So do you have a good stock for leaf-bare" Scarletrose asked

"Yes but Hazelleaf wants to collect more herbs" Brightfern answered

"Well I'm going to go get prey" Brightfern said

And she walked over to the fresh-kill pile

And grabbed a rabbit

She walked over to Hazelleaf who was eating a raven

And she sat down next to her and started eating

And once they were both done they went back to there den

She decided to get fresh moss for her nest and left the camp

And went to a place she knew had lots of moss and started to collect some

And once she had enough for both her and Hazelleaf's nests she returned to camp

And walked into the medicine den

"I've got fresh moss for our nests" Brightfern said

"That's nice" Hazelleaf replied

"Your looking trough our herb supply again" Brightfern said

"Yes" Hazelleaf replied

"You know if you are bored you can clean the elders den because there are no apprenticed to do it" Brightfern said

And started to take all the fresh moss out of the beds and put new moss in

When she was done she took the old moss out and got rid of it

She had collect way too much for both of there nests

so she decided to use the remaining moss in the elders nests

"Hi Brightfern" Deerflower said

Deerflower had always been suspicious of cats who joined the clan

"I have a lot of extra moss so I came to give you guys new nests because we shouldn't treat you like you don't exist" Brightfern said

"I miss my parents" Deerflower said

"Well you still have someone who was close to them" Sunheart replied

"Who were they" Brightfern asked

"Jayear and Lostwing" Deerflower answered

She had now finished Deerflower's nest and was continuing to Sunhearts

For the oldest cat in the clan Sunheart is really nice Brightfern thought

"You could of saved my nest for last I'm not the most grumpy of the elders" Sunheart said

"Your definitely not and your not even competing for the most grumpy" Brightfern said

And once she finished she went to Driftfoots nest

And once she was done with everyone's nests

"Can you think of any idea to keep Hazelleaf busy because she has nothing left to do" Brightfern asked

"But you don't have to come up with a idea right now" Brightfern said

And Brightfern left the den and tossed out the old moss

She walked back into the medicine den

"Hey where have you been" Hazelleaf asked

"Just giving the elders fresh moss" Brightfern answered

"Okay" Hazelleaf replied

"You won't find anything old I sorted through those yesterday" Brightfern said

"Well I'm checking again" Hazelleaf said

And Hazelleaf continued looking for old herbs
