Rummaging through your clothes, you struggled to find an outfit. Two suitcases and you had no idea what to where.

*Swimsuit or bikini?*

You play it safe and went with the swimsuit. It was a pink juicy couture one piece with juicy embodied on the front. Next was hair, you doubted you would be actually swimming, but better safe than sorry. Putting a good amount of conditioner and coconut oil in your palm. You ran your fingers through your hair, making sure to evenly coat the braids.

You grabbed a bag and met your family in the hallway. They looked at you with semi- annoyed faces, your dad especially.

"Who's playing that awful music ?" He complains, holding the door open.

"So much for a relaxing vacation." Your mom adds.

You shrug at their comments, the music wasn't you're that bad. But it was definitely too loud. You find a few empty lounge chairs and settle in, pulling out your book and headphones. Your parents run off to the sauna, leaving you with your brother. He immediately jumps in the pool, splashing water on you.

You try to get comfortable and focus on reading, but couldn't help but be bombarded by someone else's music. You weren't one to complain, but hopefully someone else would. A few minutes later, the music abruptly cuts off.

*Thank god*

Being nosey, you peek your head over your book and see Susan standing. Holding a black speaker and a pair of headphones. Rodrick sat in front of her with an annoyed face. Still being nosey, you push one side of your headphones back, letting you hear their conversation.

"I brought you these for a reason, no one else's needs to hear your music."

*Damn, she fed up.* You laugh to yourself, going back to your book.

With Rodrick's music gone, it's much easier for you to get comfortable. Your eyes begin to run over the words in front of you. Getting lost in the pages, not realizing Rodrick coming towards you. He sits in the chair next to you, scooting it closer to you. He stares at you for a while, watching you read. He waves his hand, wondering if you'll acknowledge or even notice him. You don't.

"What are you reading?" He asks, pulling on the side of your headphones.

Surprised, you jolt back, dropping the book on the ground. Quickly, rodrick picks it up, reading the first line he sees.

"Slowly his hands move up her dress-" He reads out loud before you snatch the book back.

"Holy shit y/n. Are you reading that in public?" He says, amused at your embarrassment and shock.

You clear your throat, try to shake off your clear embarrassment.

"Hi rodrick."

"Hi y/n." He gives you a goofy smile.

You give you a small one in return.

"So, what are you reading?" He adds emphasis to every word.

"Nothing." You try to sound less suspicious and fail.

"Nothing."

"Nothing." You repeat, putting the book in your bag.

He hums watching you slip it into your bag, noticing the book cover. Hiding the book's cover and title.

*I'll find out later*

"Shouldn't you be swimming with your brothers ?"
