"I cannot believe you would go behind my back like this, y/n." Rodrick said cracking open one of your books. "I should have trashed that stupid bookmark when I had the chance."

"You said you were okay with me talking to him."

"Yea because I thought you meant friendly talking, not taking you out on a date talking."

"It is not a date." You tell him as you bring out your makeup. "It's more of a hang-out."

"A hangout." He scoffs. "At a movie theater on a Saturday night."

"Me and you go to the movies all the time, do those count as dates."

"No, but we also sleep together, do you plan on taking his virginity too? And when it comes to guys, it's all about the intention."

"I don't have any intentions besides watching a movie."

"Of course you don't you're you, but he's a boy, so he's up to something."

You ignore his comment and begin doing your makeup. Noticing your silence, Rodrick stands and sets aside the book before coming over to you. He leans his body against the wall where your vanity was facing you. You planned to ignore his presence for as long as you could, but Rodrick isn't quite ready to drop the conversation.

In fact, he was ready to dive right into it. He questioned you on everything he could. Wanting to know more about this code named "mall boy" then you were willing to share. It may have just been you jumping to conclusions, but Rodrick's curiosity seemed to be a bit of something else.

Jealousy. It wasn't an emotion you saw him have often, at least not with you.

"How are you sure this guy isn't like some creep?"

"Uh."

You think for a split second before deciding you wanted to mess with Rodrick. As if he wasn't already begging for it.

"I guess I don't really know."

He doesn't say anything, but his face speaks for itself.

"Do you really think he's up to something, or do you just not want me to go ?" You ask him looking for an honest answer.

"Both." He tells you bluntly.

"Rodrick, if you're jealous, just say that."

"Jealous." He says in an exaggerated tone. "y/n he couldn't even ask you for your number, he gave you his in secret."

"Not gonna lie, that sounds like something a jealous person would say."

He narrows his eyes at you before rolling them.

"Whatever, y/n go on your stupid movie date with your stupid mall boy. Just don't do anything with him."

"I know the rules, Rodrick, I'm the one who made them, and I promise you I won't do anything with him."

"Not even hold hands."

"No, not even hold hands."

"Or wear his jacket." He added. "If you think you're gonna be cold, wear my hoodie."

"Sure." You tell him. "As long as it doesn't mess up my hair."

"What are you gonna do with it?" He asks, motioning to your bonnet.

"I don't know, honestly, do you wanna do it?"

He shrugs and moves from his spot. It wasn't the first time Rodrick had helped you with your hair, so he knew somewhat what he was doing. Taking your bonnet off, he throws it onto your bed. You had already stretched your hair the night before, using four braids. So all Rodrick had to do was tie it up. He takes a shoelace from your drawer and ties your hair into a low puff.
