"You ready? Let's go see our new home!" I said kind of cheerful. I have to admit I was kinda excited. The apartment had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The only reason I was able to afford it was because this neighborhood wasn't the best and supposedly the place was haunted. The previous owners were so freaked out that they left all the furniture. They took everything else.

We all walked into the apartment. Through the door you walk right into the living room. It had a medium sized dark brown couch facing a fire place. The mantle was white and the walls of the room were blue. Next to the living room was a small kitchen with pale yellow walls. There was a small brown wood table in the corner. It was bid enough to fit four people. I loved the kitchen. It had a really nice fridge, stove, and sink. I like to cook so this was kinda awesome for me.

We walked upstairs and looked in all the bedrooms. The first one was a little small but not too small that it was cramped. It had purple walls with a black dresser and black bed frame. The mattress laid on there bare. I'd have to go get sheets and a comforter for all of us I guess. I'll try to find some cheap ones when we go shopping for food and other necessities. I wanted to save as much money as we can in case we had to leave again.

"I call this room!" Nora yelled immediately. I smiled. Her eyes lit up and she dropped her bag on the floor jumping up on the bed. I laughed.

"OK this one's yours. Start unpacking if you want and since it's only noon we'll go out shopping for food and stuff for the house. We'll even grab lunch out ok?"

"OK!" Nora bounced excitedly. I've never seen her this energized in awhile.

"Come on Conrad let's check out the next room." I started walking and opened the next door. It turned out to be the bathroom, which was good. It was between the two bedrooms. It was small but again not cramped. It had a shower that thankfully wasn't too small. The bathroom was blue like the living room.

I grabbed Conrad's hand and we started walking towards the next door. The bedroom was the same size as Nora's room with the same furniture except it was brown and the walls were a bright green. It wasn't so bright that it was blinding. I turned to Conrad to see that he was smiling.

"I'd like this one please." He was so polite for an eight year old.

"You can have it."

"Yes!" Conrad yelled. I laughed. I'm so happy that he can finally act like a kid.

"Unpack your things and I'll come by when its time to go." I turned and closed the door. It felt so good to see them smile. They never really did back at Jev's house. They always acted older than they should be. Me too I guess.

I sighed going to the end of the hall where the last bedroom was. It was the master bedroom. I turned the knob and opened the door slowly. I gasped. This room was beautiful. The room was painted gold and when the light from the windows hit it, it looked liked it caught on fire. The bed was queen sized with a white wooden bed frame. The dresser, the desk, and the side table were also white wood that looked a little rustic. I also had my own bathroom which was the same pale yellow as the kitchen and it was a little bigger than the other bathroom. I loved the shower.
