Finally Mine

Chapter 4

                      Hey guys. I know the last chapter was horrible. As I said before I'll go back and fix it later on. I think this chapter is better and it shows how Alana felt about meeting Jasper for the first time! Please comment and tell me how I'm doing. I need some motivation. I'm hoping it'll get rid of my writer's block.

                   I pulled into the parking lot of the twin's school. Shutting off the ignition I quickly stepped out. I was excited to see them. I also have to admit that I was a little worried. I know that they're okay. The school would have called me otherwise, but I had to see them for myself. I waited outside with the other parents. I noticed some were looking at me with a weird look on their faces. I guess they were wondering why I was there picking up my siblings.

"Oof!" I quickly righted myself before I fell and laughed. The twins had both run into me full force with a hug.

"Lanie! Lanie!" The twins yelled excitedly. They had huge wide grins on their faces. I smiled and ruffled their hair.

"Hey little ones. You ready to go home? You can tell me about your day in the car." They both nodded and we all headed to the car.

"So how was your day?" I asked after I made sure everyone was buckled in. Nora started to bounce up and down in her seat. Full of excitement making me chuckle in the process.

"It was really good. I made a friend! Her name is Ellie. She's really fun to play with. Conrad and I played with her all through recess!" I smiled and looked into the review mirror at the twins.

"Conrad, is Ellie your friend too?" Conrad smiled.

"Yeah. I like her. She's really fun and nice."

"Did anything else happen today?"

"We learned stuff, like our spelling words." Conrad answered.

"I really like our teacher. She was really nice and helped me a lot." Nora chimed in. I was really happy school went great for them. I wanted them to be happy and make friends.

"That's great! Do you two have any homework?" The twins groaned and nodded. I chuckled a little. "Well that's the first thing we'll do when we get home and I'll make you guys a snack."

                   Once we got home I ushered the kids to the table to do their homework. I put apples and peanut butter on a plate for us to snack on. I soon joined them at the table to start my own homework. I would occasionally stop to help Conrad or Nora if they were stuck on a question. They finished quickly since they didn't have much homework to begin with.

                   I groaned leaning back finally finished. I swear teachers like to punish us with all this homework. After putting my school stuff away I went to check on the twins and to see what they're doing. I looked into the living room to see Nora on the floor coloring in a Disney princess coloring book. Conrad was beside her coloring in his dinosaur coloring book. I smiled as I walked over them and laid in between them.

              I picked up a black crayon and started coloring in Snow White's hair. "So what do you two want for dinner?" Conrad and Nora looked at each other thinking. They soon both smiles at each other and screamed "hot dogs!" I laughed.
