~Alana~
I cut off the engine and sat back in my seat. I sighed through my nose as I watched my new fellow students enter the building. I really didn't want to enter. I knew I had too but I really was too tired for this. Nora was a little cranky this morning and I have to admit, I wasn't all sunshine and rainbows either.
Sleep was impossible last night with the re-occurring nightmare that just kept repeating over and over. Then when I woke up after living through it a few times. I saw a shadow figure of a man reacting to my fear. I knew it was the spirit that was haunting this place. Spirits draw on energy and emotions create a lot of it. My fear must have been great for him to appear. I have to admit it freaked me out a little. Along with the nightmare. I'm glad it wasn't my usual night terrors though.
I looked at my watch to see that I had five minutes to get to class. I grabbed my bag and headed inside. I kept my head down, not wanting anyone to talk to me. Though I guess everyone knows how that turns out, since what ever you want to happen, the opposite does.
"Alana! Alana! Wait up!" I thought about ignoring him but guessing from the amount of his personaliy I saw yesterday, he won't give up and just follow me. I slowed down but didn't stop walking.
"Alana! How's it going?" I just stared at him not bothering to answer. Anyone can tell from my face that I wasn't in the mood.
"Bad huh. I can get you to smile don't worry." I raised my eyebrow. My face in a deadpan expression.
"Oh really? I'm not in the mood but go ahead. I can guarantee you that I won't be smiling."
"I would not be a good friend if I didn't make you laugh!", Dru slapped his hand over his heart dramatically. "Challenge accepted by the way." I waited a few seconds and he didn't say any thing. I started to open my mouth when he suddenly he goes "Wait! Let me think!" I rolled my eyes and waited.
"Ok Ok. I got this. Why did the tomato blush?"
"Uh I don't know. Enlighten me."
"He saw the salad dressing!" He shouted this last part and smiled real wide. The look in his eyes along with the stupid corny joke made me smile.
"Ah ha! I did it! I told you I would."
"Yeah you did." I said still smiling playfully. I couldn't believe it. His stupid corny joke made my mood lift a little.
"I'm just that awesome." He grins and we continue walking.
"Well, I wouldn't go that far."
"So what got you in a bad mood anyway?" We reach my classroom and stood by the door.
"Uh" The bell rang suddenly, thank god, and class started. Dru gave me a look but I chose to ignore it and entered my classroom. I made sure to sit in the middle. Teachers like to call on students in the back or front, so I figured the middle would be safe.
Most of my morning classes flew by. Luckily I didn't fall asleep. Though a few times I was tempted. I ignored Dru when I could. Luckily chorus was next. It's easy so I didn't have to focus too much. The problem was I forgot about someone in this class and her name was Sophie. I entered the classroom and quickly sat in my seat. That didn't stop Sophie from venturing into my section.
