Y/n skated smoothly down the road to 'S', earning some shouts and acknowledgements from the people around her, rookie skaters and some regulars she recognized. She waved back to a few of them before zooming along, before meeting up with Reki and Langa in the middle of the terrain.

"Our lovely Y/n!" said Reki, smiling at her. Y/n hopped off her skateboard as he gave her a hug. "Miya's over there" he whispered, looking over to his right.

Y/n snuck a look. Miya stood there, doing some simple tricks. Luna was laughing, clapping her hands and batting her eyelashes. Y/n gave her eyes a roll.

"Whatever" she seethed back to Reki and Langa. "i'll beat him tonight"

"yes! we're cheering for you" Langa said.

"Is she wearing Miya's hoodie?" Reki questioned, crossing his arms.

"They have matching ones" Y/n told him, her tone even.

Reki nodded, pursing his lips. "Miya! Come over here!" He suddenly called out.

Y/n glared. "Reki!" She hissed. "What the fuck?" He smiled guiltily at her.

Miya looked up, meeting her glance. He said something to Luna, and they both headed over to the trio.

"Hey, Y/n" Miya said.

"Hi"

"Hi guys!" Luna chirped. "My name is Luna"

Reki smiled politely. "My name is Reki. and that's Langa"

"Nice to meet you!" Luna replied. She smiled, again, and twirled a strand of blonde hair between her manicured fingers. "I'm trying to learn how to skate" She added after a moment.

Y/n tried her best not to roll her eyes again. Luna? Skating? With her freshly curled hair and her smooth and untouched skin? Y/n glanced down at all the the bandages covering her legs. Luna wouldn't last a day.

"Miya's going to teach me"

Langa raised an eyebrow. "Is he?" He asked, looking pointedly at Miya.

Miya looked away. "Yeah. I'm gonna help her after school."

"Every day after school!" Said Luna. "I'm going to be as good as Reki and Langa in the blink of an eye with miya helping me!"

No, Y/n thought. It took her and Miya their entire lives to get as good as they were now. But, apparently, Luna didn't know that she skated. "It's going to take at least 5 years" Y/n piped up, her fingers tapping her skateboard.

Luna frowned for a brief second. "But Miya told me that Langa only just got into skateboarding"

"He used to snowboard" Y/n said. "For his entire life" She added for good measure - and for her personal pettiness.

Luna went quiet.

Langa spoke up. "If Miya is helping you every day after school, on top of all his homework and classes, when's he going to spend time with us? and Y/n?"
