"CALEB DUME!" Hera screamed.
Kanaan jumped and hit his head. He rubbed it and yawned, just waking up. Then he realized Hera was mad at him.
He gulped and walked into the common room. "Yeah?"
"You need to get your padawan under control!"
At that point, he noticed the common room was completely painted pink and purple. "Umm.. Nice redecorating?"
Her glares scared him and he decided to just shut up.
"You need to prove to Ezra that he can't go around pranking people all the time."
He laughed nervously. "I'll be the prank police, then?"
"Whatever you want to call it. You and Ezra are going to clean my ship. I don't want a spot or scratch in sight. Understood?"
"Wait - why me?"
"It's your fault for being a passive Master who lets his padawan be an immature prankster."
"But-" he stopped at her glare. "Fine.."
She crossed her arms and walked out. "Good. Have it done before sunset."
After she left, he sighed in relief. "Prank police time!"
He hummed his made up theme song as he searched the ship for Ezra.
After a while, he got bored of humming and started singing. "Kanaan Jarrus! The last jedi standing.. On the trail of a crazy padawan.. Kanaan Jarrus! Number one jedi.. Better than any other guy.. Kanaan Jarrus! Last survivor.. Sort of ... Kanaan Jarrus! Epic, cool, fun.. Kanaan Jarrus! Where's that guitar?! Kanaan Jarrus! Kanaaaaannnn Jarruuuussss! WHOOO-HOOOO! The crowd goes wiiilddddd. Don't worry, people! I'll be here until I'm dead! Thank you, thank you! Goodnight, galaxies! Alright, standing ovation.. I know I'm awesome-"
Ezra tapped Kanaan's shoulder. "Boo."
Kanaan screamed very shrilly and high pitched.
He cleared his throat. "How long were you following me?"
"Nice theme song."
"Oh.. That long. Great.."
"I posted it to the holo net."
Kanaan sighed for a moment then started chasing Ezra.
Ezra sprinted down the hallways. "You'll never catch meee! Hahahaha!"
"EZRA BRIDGER! CALEB DUME!" Hera shouted.
They both stopped, gulped, and walked in the common room.
"Yes, Hera?" they said nervously.
She gave them both two slightly damp small pieces of cloth. "Get to work cleaning my ship. It's getting close to noon."
They reluctantly began scrubbing the wall. "Yes, Hera.."
Satisfied, Hera left. They sighed in relief and resumed their chase. Ezra threw some paint on the floor and Kanaan slipped. He faceplanted into a wall while Ezra snuck into the vents, trying not to laugh. Kanaan got up and then followed Ezra's banging into the cockpit. Ezra jumped when Kanaan poked his shoulder.
"Whatcha doin'?" Kanaan said, sitting beside him.
Ezra pushed buttons. "Setting off the sprinklers."
"What? Why?!"
"Firstly, it's a great prank. Secondly, Hera did want the ship clean."
"Good point.. Do it."
"1.. 2.. 3.. LET IT RAIN!"
Ezra pulled the switch so hard that it broke off. Water flowed from the ceiling, never stopping and building up fast.
"Ezra!" Kanaan yelled.
"You encouraged me!" Ezra shouted back defensively.
"Why do you have to be so wreckless?!"
"Why do you have to be so funless?"
"Because- HEY!"
"It's true!"
Kanaan pinned him to the floor and they wrestled until the door opened. Water to her knees, she glared at them. If looks could kill...
"WHAT DID YOU TWO DO?!" Hera shouted.
Ezra and Kanaan pointed at each other. "IT'S HIS FAULT!"
"I don't care whose fault it is! You're flooding my ship!"
"Should we, uh, leave?" Kanaan said.
"I am. You two can stay here for all I care."
"Wait! Wait! We're coming!" Ezra shouted.
They got up and scrambled down the ladder and ramp. After a while, it ran out of water and stopped.
"That was close. So, what about the ship, Hera? It's soaked.." Sabine said.
"Yeah," Zeb agreed. "Drenched."
Chopper beeped angrily.
"Kanaan and Ezra are going to clean it," Hera said casually.
"But-" Ezra said.
"Hera-" Kanaan said at the same time.
They were silenced by Hera's glare. Ezra and Kanaan sighed in defeat. They got a mop and cleaned while the rest of the crew relaxed in the flowers under the sun.
Hera sighed contently. "No one messes with my ship."
