Shinsou gasped as he struggled to stay quiet. He had seen these particular villains from the raid to save Bakugo. They were the ones who attacked the training camp and they were associated with the league of villains. He was never able to get a good look at them till now. He heard his pulse getting louder in his ears. She was thanking the villains about something. Spinel was close enough to them that they were actually having a polite conversation. Even the crazy stabby girl seemed excited to see Spinel. Was Spinel involved with the league? Or maybe she just knew them from her time on the streets. Yeah that's it. Shinsou thought trying to rationalize what he saw. There is no way she would betray the class; it wouldn't make sense for her to defeat some of the villains if she was part of them.

"Bye Himi, bye Compress."

Shinsou heard the goodbyes and footsteps coming closer. He quickly hid inside one of the multitude of people clumps -as he liked to call them. He couldn't let Spinel spot him, especially right after what he just witnessed.

Shinsou edged forward. He kept far enough from the pair that they couldn't notice him but still close enough that he could follow them. He wasn't sure where they were headed but he was now invested in his makeshift plan and he couldn't just stop midway.

The pair walked back as it fell later in the night. "New place?" Dabi asked as the pair walked.

"New place sounds good." Spinel scooted closer to Dabi as she shivered from the cold breeze. The warm rays of the sun replaced by an unrelenting blackness of the night the air had turned cold. Dabi took off his hoodie and quickly put it on his baby sister. The warmth from his body temperature still lingered on the thick fabric.

"Aren't you cold?" Spinel latched onto Dabi's arm for extra warmth as she snuggled into his too big hoodie. Dabi's body temperature was always running on high so he was an amazing human heater.

"Nah. The cold never bothered me anyway." He gave her a shit eating grin. The night prior they had watched the movie on Spinel's request. Before that night she had never watched it, but now she almost regretted watching the thing.

Spinel gave Dabi a face of internal suffering but still stayed close. She looked up at the star filled sky as she walked and reminisced about the two years she spent in Musutafu. She owed so much to Dabi, he had saved her life. He could have easily just left her there to die but instead he took her in. He taught her and supported her. Spinel would have said she was willing to die for him, but in reality, due to their professions, she would probably be willing to kill for him- within reason of course. "Firecracker."

"Hm?"

"Thank you"

"No problem."

Dabi wasn't aware of how heartfelt her words were, but that was fine with Spinel. They had all the time in the world.

The light of day had long since ebbed and dwindled into nothing as midnight marched steadily to consume the time. Once they had excited the nicer parts of the city, the atmosphere changed. If it was a nicer area then the night wouldn't have bothered Shinsou too much, but he was in a different area now. The place where crime ran rampant and violence was the norm. In this place, midnight was the time for murder, extortion and things that go bump in the dark. The only lights were cast by the yellow beams of streetlight that illuminated the sidewalk.

Shinsou's eyes widened as the taller man was illuminated by the lights. Scars, Staples, and patchwork skin. Shinsou had seen that combination before. Dabi. Spinel's 'brother' was Dabi from the league of villains. When she had confessed that her brother was a criminal, Shinsou was expecting something like petty crime and not the villain who kidnapped Bakugo and tried to kill the class.
