Night had fallen after a long day of traveling for the group. They had found a nice, little, secluded place to make camp, and just to their luck, a group of men was sitting by a large fire not far from them, telling a story to by-passers.

It had caught their attention. Or more precisely, Aang and Y/n's.

"So, travelers. The next time you think you hear a strange, large bird talking, take a closer look. It might not be a giant parrot, but a flying man. A member of a secret group of air walkers, who laugh at gravity, and laugh at those bound to the earth by it!" The man finished dramatically, spreading his arms open wide as if he had made a dramatic ending.

One of the men went around with his hat, after the story finished, collecting coins from the other travelers that sat around the campfire.

"Aren't Airbender stories the greatest?" Aang asked with a large smile, excited about the story that had been told of his people.
Katara turned her attention to the two Airbenders, "Was it realistic? Is that how it was back then?" She asked, Y/n gave her a light shrug as a response, "Guess I didn't really pay a lot of attention back then."

"I laugh at gravity all the time!" Aang claimed, chuckling to himself at the mere thought of it, "Gravity."

The man arrived in front of the group, shaking his at in front of Sokka, "Jingle, jingle!" He said in a cheering tone and a sweet smile, asking for a bit of money. Sokka dug his hand into the pocket of his heavy coat, only managing to pull out a bug, a worm, and a few crumbs. he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "Sorry..."

As the man walked away, mumbling about the teen being a cheapskate, Sokka put the bug back into his pocket along with the worm. Aang laughed and pulled Y/n's sleeve, making her come along as he ran after the storyteller.

"Hey! Thanks for the story." Aang grinned at the man, excited about the story they had been told about his people.

The man held his hat towards the two without looking their way, "Tell it to the cap, boy." Y/n dug her hand into her robes, flicking a copper coin into the man's hat shortly afterward.

The Storyteller shook his cap behind him as he kneeled in front of an old man. The shaking causes a coin to come loose and fall from the cap. As Aang searched his clothes for some money, Momo picked up the coin and put it in the cap as the Storyteller turned around.

He smiled down at Momo, "Aww, much obliged, little bat-thing." He proceeded to thank him, petting his head lightly as he did so.

Aang gave up on finding a coin, and let his arms fall back to his sides, "It means a lot to hear Airbender stories. It must have been a hundred years ago your great-grandpa met them."
