CHAPTER STALL AKA. HEADCANONS

I really have no idea what this is, it's both angsty and fluffy so prepare.

1. Nagito protects Naomi as much as he can, not just because they're best friends, but he doesn't want Naomi to go through what he's gone through as a kid. (meaning he doesn't want Naomi to live through pain)

2. when Hajime and Nagito at first met, Nagito teased Hajime by calling him "pretty boy" causing Hajime to go flustered. at first Nagito didn't mean what he said, he was just messing with Hajime, but over time, he continued to call him "pretty boy" because he really meant it.

3. when in the asylum, Hajime did his best to help Nagito recover, which is why he was so upset when Nagito simply ran away.

4. growing up with Fuyuhiko, Peko is pretty much the only one who can calm Fuyuhiko down.

5. because of his strict parents, Naomi never experienced love (either romantically, parental love or platonic) which is why he tries to keep Nagito as close as possible (in friendly way), because he's the only one who ever shown his love.

6. Naomi isn't interested in relationships, not just because he never was never shown the "true love", but he's heavily convinced that love doesn't matter and it just makes things worse (his parents/family being the top example)

7. after Hajime moved into the mansion and him and Nagito began hanging out more, Naomi felt replaced, so he began hanging out with Kokichi more. however, Naomi never admitted feeling replaced.

8. when Miu hung out with Nagito and Naomi, she finally felt like she was home

9. Hajime and his psychological education might (not sure if I'll be mentioning this) when Fuyuhiko needed to get something out of someone.

10. Nagito taught himself how to lie and manipulate, he was a natural talent because of his father.

11. although it may not seem like it, Nagito's father loved his wife dearly, he loved his son at first too, but when he began taking drugs and alcohol out of stress, he began to hurt his wife, finding source of ecstasy in it, and continued to hurt her and Nagito himself.

12. Nagito's father hurt Nagito more, because Nagito didn't seem to do anything else except play with his toys and be a "total waste of money" as he said it. what he didn't understand was that Nagito was just a child and he wasn't mature enough to do activities such as cook and clean.

13. what Nagito's father did, scarred Nagito for life, he flinches everytime someone raised their arm (as if they were about to hit him) or raised their voice.
he's basically became very paranoid due to his messed up past.

14. Naomi views Nagito as the "father figure", because Nagito cares so much about him and protects him.

15. Nagito reached out to for help, because of his teacher who noticed how unmotivated and how much he skipped school because he was "sick", he was and sent him to the school psychologist.

when Nagito was about 4 years old, his mom taught him how to make a hangman's knot. she never specifically explained what she expected him to do with it, but she wasn't left with much of an option. that day, Nagito found her making one, hanging it on a hook in ceiling, then pulling it back down and crying. he watched her do this two times, before asking her to teach him how to make one.
she taught him at the prize of her husband not finding out.
