(A/N: I'm going to be using the manga and anime versions of Death Note as well as the transcript for about every episode as a reference for the book. His alias is Aito Seiya, so nobody knows his name except for very close friends and family members. Enjoy! P.S. This chapter is most likely going to be longer than the future ones. Also, if anyone reading this knows me in real life, I just want to say: Don't judge me. if you want to say something about the story just post a comment about it, and we will never speak of this in public. There are also gay pairings in this, so if you are uncomfortable with it, either leave or deal with it.)
Izuku Midoriya, or as everyone knows him, Aito Seiya, sat in the back of his classroom unnoticed by his peers, wearing a uniform with a hood to hide his abnormally colored hair. The teacher was reading off a passage from a textbook, with most of the class reading along with him. Others were talking about the latest criminal that got caught or whatnot. Midoriya didn't care for the news or who had been killed or sent to jail. Although, he mourned for those who have had sad and burdensome lives and those who were dead. He could hear faint speaking from the middle of the classroom, mostly because two of his classmates were attempting to whisper, trying not to be overheard by the teacher. Which had worked, but others around could still hear them easily. Midoriya picked up a couple of sentences from them, the only ones loud enough to be heard clearly.
"I didn't do anything, but he still got upset."
"Really? And then?" They spoke quieter now, forcing Midoriya to focus on the teacher who had been finishing up his sentence.
"神の声に耳を傾け、それに従い、時間内にそのことを知ってください / Kami no koe ni mimi o katamuke, sore ni shitagai, jikan uchi ni sono koto o shitte kudasai / (Listen for the voice of God then follow it, and know that in time...)."
Midoriya heard the teacher finish, and he looked up at him. The teacher looked up and glanced at a student who sat near the window, looking out into the courtyard.
"Yagami, are you still with us? Can you please translate the following sentence into English?" Midoriya noticed a tall male with short, neat light brown hair standing up with his book in hand. Midoriya remembered that his name was Light Yagami. He was pretty popular with the females although he never had a girlfriend. They had talked once or twice, but Midoriya wasn't close enough with him to tell him his real name. In his opinion, Light was slightly arrogant, and Midoriya thought he felt off in a couple of ways, but he still managed to stay kind and helpful, not letting the off feeling he had bother him that much.
"Follow the teachings of God and receive his blessings, and so it shall be that the seas will become bountiful." He read then went back to sitting in his seat and staring out the window. Midoriya sighed, and his eyelids grew heavy, closing slowly until a slumber overtook his body. He snored quietly and naturally let off a calming aura to those around him as he nuzzled his face into his arms, letting the other students become relaxed and focused. The teacher hadn't noticed the male drift to sleep and continued to teach until class ended 30 minutes later. When the bell rang, the teacher dismissed everyone, and the students started to pack up, chatting about what they were going to do after school and over the weekend. A short girl with curly and cropped black hair seated next to Midoriya looked over and saw that he was sleeping soundly and breathing quietly. She tapped him on the shoulder, and he flinched, rising. He looked at her and gave a faint smile.
"Arigato Anzu-chan." He thanked her. His voice was soft and silky while also layered with sleep. Anzu blushed slightly at his voice before replying.
"Lie iie Seiya-kun," Anzu said, her blush becoming darker. She bowed quickly and left to catch up with her friends, who squealed and teased her about Midoriya when she approached them. Midoriya stood up and left. Many females and even some males blush as he passed them in the halls. Nobody quite knew if Midoriya was female or male due to his soft voice, and feminine figure. Midoriya had become favored for his looks, smarts, and beautiful personality. He was always kind to those around him and rarely talked rudely about others.
