Chapter 7 The Aircraft Carrier part 3

Jaune was walking downstairs and towards a hallway as he is making his way to the armory. He reaches the armory's entry door, he goes in and sees one of Victor's people. It was a male. He takes out an Ak47 and pulls its charging handle to check its function. He then places the AK on a table and was about to do something to it. Jaune was wondering what he is doing so he walks towards him.

Jaune: Hey!

The man turns his head toward Jaune when he heard him.

????: Oh hey! Didn't hear you coming in.

Jaune: Are you one of Victor's people?

????: Yep! I'm Griffin, (reaches his hand out for a greet) Warrant Officer Maynard Griffin.

Jaune: I'm Jaune, (reaches out his hand as well to shake Griffin's hand for greet) 2nd Lieutenant Jaune Arc.

Griffin: Jaune Arc? So you're the guy I heard about.

Jaune: I take it Delirious and Cartooonz told you?

Griffin: Yep! Those two told me all about you. I'm sorry for you man.

Jaune: For what?

Griffin: For what you've been through. Your life is fucked up, I can't believe that Cardin exposed your fake transcript. You saved his life but he still lets out your secret. And your father, jeez I can't believe he didn't help you.

Jaune: Yeah, I have been through a lot. But, I am happy that my friends defended me. Not only them, including the staff and the headmaster.

Griffin: I heard. I'm glad they didn't turn their backs on you.

Jaune: (sighs) Yeah, but I ran away and made them worry. I don't know how long I was missing, I hope they will forgive me.

Griffin: Hey, don't be sad about yourself. I'm sure they will forgive you.

Jaune: You think so?

Griffin: (places his right hand on Jaune's shoulder) I'm sure.

Jaune smiled and nodded to agree with Griffin but he notice something on Griffin's right arm.

Jaune: Holy shit, what happened to your arm?

Griffin: Oh my arm? (raises his right arm and shows Jaune his robotic arm) Yeah, I lost my right arm during the war. Been replaced by a robotic arm.

Jaune: Damm... my life is terrible but you lost your arm. I'm sorry for asking.

Griffin: Eh, don't worry about it. Besides, It was already passed long years so I have already gotten used to it. No need to apologize.

Jaune: If you say so. So, Warrant Officer?

Griffin: Yeah, I'm in charge of securing and preparing arms and gear for the soldiers and crew members aboard the Retribution. You guys are lucky that you have the 3D Weaponry Printer here on this ship.

Jaune: You know it?

Griffin: Yeah, why? you guys don't know it?

Jaune: We know it, but we don't know how it works. Only a little bit.

Griffin: Is that so? Hmmm. Okay, I'll see what I can do with it. In the meantime, you guys need a lot of help. I'll stay down here in the armory and fix up the equipment and weapons here.

Jaune: Thanks, we can use someone down here on the armory.

Griffin: Don't worry 2nd Lieutenant, leave it to me.
