A/N - Thank you so much for 1k reads! This is a 1k reads special about the mysterious "man" in the chapters.

****************

It was morning in a certain paradise. The man opened his eyes and observed the lovely pattern on his ceiling. His wife had painted it for him and he always loved waking up the lovely galaxy painted on the ceiling. The man slowly got out of bed and took a minute to think what he had to do today. Ah, yes. He must meet with the registry to discuss the transfer of his disgraceful daughter to exillium. He decided to get dressed and then go down for breakfast.

The breakfast table was quiet. The man and his wife were quietly eating their umber leaves while their son sat as close to his sister as possible and kept glaring at his father. The man finished his breakfast and got up to head out to see the registry and send his- the girl, to exillium. He was far to ashamed of her to call her his daughter. She had made too many mistakes. And her brother wasn't far behind. He wished he had perfect children and not the imperfect, ridiculous ones he was given. Oh well, the girl was leaving today. One less child to handle.

The man arrived at his location and was greeted by the registry team who officially banished the girl from the lost cities and sentenced her to exillium. The man was very satisfied. But little did he know that he would be faced with such- such obstructions when he got home.

The man entered his pristine gates, only to be greeted by his furious son and scared daughter. His son seemed to have melted the chain of his registry pendant and dipped it in his bangs, because they seemed to be a silver hue. His daughter had done the same to the tips of her long hair but she was looking way less determined and furious as his son. "HOW COULD YOU?!" his son yelled. "I HAVE HAD IT! I AM GOING WITH MY SISTER, AND YOU WILL REALISE WHAT A GREAT MISTAKE YOU HAVE MADE!" He then proceeded to throw the crystal in the man's face and lead his sister out of the house. When the man's wife came down to see the commotion, they were gone.

The man sighed. He was back under the glorious galaxy painted by his now devastated wife. The scene calmed him a bit, but he was still exhausted. What a- A rattling sound disrupted his thoughts as someone suddenly grabbed him from the back. "Do. not. move." they said as they raised a crystal to the dim light of the stars and whisked the man away.

The man and his captor arrived at a small clearing, surrounded by thick trees that made it impossible to get out. "W- who are you?" The man asked. His captor lowered his hood to reveal sharp, chiseled features and ice blue eyes. "My name is Fintan. I am from the Neverseen," he said. "And you are the new member." "WHAT?" The man yelled. "No, I am not! You have the wrong guy!" Fintan laughed. "No," he said. "You are the right guy, Quan Song, and you shall oblige."

"Absolutely not!" Quan said. "I am not partaking in your seemingly suspicious gang of illegal men!" Fintan sighed. "Love the description, but I hate it when people think they have a choice. You ability is extremely useful to our cause and, well, there's no easy way to put it, but we need a watchdog. A guard to watch our prisoners and make sure they do not escape. And before you refuse, watch this, and think of your wife." Fintan formed a large fireball in his hands and called out to the trees. The air suddenly stilled as another hooded figure stepped out of the shadows and wrapped said shadows around Quan, squeezing them tight. Fintan made an explosion sign with his hands and Quan knew the position he was in, so he reluctantly said "Fine."

"Now, before you may leave, there are a few things." Fintan took a device out of his pocket and coiled it around Quan's foot. "You are now being watched. Whatever you say is being heard by our inner circle. So glad our technopath is good. Anyway, You will come when we call, you will do what we ask, and you and your wife will remain safe. You are now Quan of the Neverseen." Fintan raised a crystal, created a beam of light and tossed another crystal to Quan before disappearing, leaving him with the heavy burden of his duty and its secrecy.

Fintan arrived at his undisclosed location and grinned. "So easy to recruit the weaklings these days. Wonder who we'll catch next. A councillor maybe?" He laughed and walked away.
