General POV.

Will was still betraying the crew.

He wanted to save his father, which was only fair. But by leaving a trail of dead soldiers who were on the ship, tied to an empty barrel, so Beckett could follow was a bit much.

'You escaped the brig even quicker than I expected.' Jack suddenly sounded.

Which made Will look up from his work.

Jack was holding a bottle of rum.

He was worried about Rose. And also him self.

So he thought that drinking might help him.

Will pointed his knife towards Jack.

'William, do you notice anything?' Jack said while standing up.

He looked at the bottle of rum which was empty and he threw it over board.

Trying to get his balance.

'Rather..

Do you notice something that is not there to be noticed?' Jack said while climbing back on the deck.

'You haven't raised an alarm.' Will answered quickly looking around.

'Odd, isn't it?' Jack answered.

'But not as odd as this.' Jack pointed to the dead body tied to the barrel.

'come up with this all by your lonesome, did you?' Jack asked.

'I said to myself, Think like Jack.' Will answered still holding his knife up to Jack.

'And this is what you have come up with?' Jack said looking again at the barrel.

'Lead Beckett to Shipwreck Cove so as to gain his trust..

Accomplish your own ends?' Jack said.

'It's like you don't know me at all mate.' Jack said almost offended.

Will put the knife back in his pocket.

'And how does your dearly beloved feel about this plan?

Or your best friend?' Jack said.

Will then looked back to the body on the barrel and denied eye contact with Jack.

'Ah.

You've not seen fit to trust her with it.' Jack said walking a bit closer towards Will.

'I'm losing her Jack..' Will said looking forward at the sea.

'every step I make for my father is a step away from Elizabeth.'

'Mate if you choose to lock your heart away, you'll lose her for certain.' Jack said raising his shoulders.

'If I might lend a machete to your intellectual thicket..

Avoid the choice altogether.

Change the facts' Jack was spilling.

Will was not really understanding Jack so a frown appeared on his face.

'Let someone else dispatch Jones.' Jack ended his little speech.

'Who?' Will asked.

Jack was looking at him with a side eye trying to see if he got the hint.

'You?' Will turned to Jack looking at him.

Jack was looking at him with a awkward smile.

'Death has a curious way of reshuffling one's priorities.
