Frostbite (Albedo x fem reader)

Chapter 3

  Tossing back and forth on the couch, you realized you couldn't sleep. Perhaps it was the unfamiliar setting you were in. Or maybe it was the sound of the cold winds outside. Either way, it was the most uncomfortable night you had in a while

Glancing over at Albedo, you noticed him drawing as usual. He looked so focused. His hair fell lightly forward as he glided his pencil across the page. Then, he stopped.

"You know, staring is quite rude." he said, bringing his eyes up to meet yours.

They were gorgeous, seeming to glow in the dim moonlight

You sat upwards, slightly embarrassed.

He chuckled lightly "I'm only kidding, would you like to see what I'm drawing?"

You nodded and approached him, pulling up a chair to sit next to him. Looking over his shoulder, you saw a drawing of a large tree. One that looked very familiar.

"Thats Vanessa's tree, right?" you asked

He smiled softly and nodded. 

"Something about it has always brought me peace. When I have free-time, I often trek down the mountain to sit underneath and just draw."

"You draw a lot, huh?" you asked

"Hm? Oh yeah, it honestly started as a way to understand the structure of complex subjects, but it's become more of a hobby at this point. Not that I'm complaining, its quite enjoyable."

You nodded your head sleepily. Something about his soft voice, or the way smiled while he explained his hobbies, made you feel at peace. Your eyes began to close, and slowly you fell asleep.

Feeling the warm sunrays against your face, you woke up. Then you raised your eyes to meet the face of Albedo, his eyes closed peacefully.

You jumped up in shock; realizing you had fallen asleep on his shoulder. The disturbance also woke him up.

"Oh, y/n you're awake." he said groggily.

"I'm sorry, I probably should've brought you back to the couch, but you looked so peaceful sleeping that i didn't want to disturb you."

You could've sworn you saw his face turn a light shade of pink.

Shaking away that thought, you responded.

"Sorry, it's my fault really... I shouldn't have fallen asleep on you anyway" your voice began to trailing off.

He laughed; his voice slightly raspy due to just waking up.

"No need to apologize, if you felt safe enough to sleep in my presence then I'm happy!"

"Well you did technically save my life." you said with a smile

"I suppose thats true."

He then stretched and stood up.

"I suppose we should start getting ready to head back down the mountain. The route we'll be taking is a bit longer, but its also safer"

"Oh, Ok that's fine" you responded, picking up your belongings and putting on your jacket.

"Alright then, let's go" he said, reaching a hand out to you
