The rest of the journey back continued as normal; You looking at the scenery, and occasionally speaking a few words to Albedo.
He was quiet, but not in an awkward way. Rather, it was a comfortable silence. His presence seemed to make you forget your worries. It was quite nice.
But sooner than later, you reached the bottom of the mountain.
Then, the adventurers camp.
You sighed, not ready to leave.
"I would say I owe you one, but seeing as you not only saved my life, but also helped me back, I guess i owe you two." You jest
"I'm not a fan of being indebted to people so I'll make sure to return the favors!"
He laughed lightly
"Well.. if you don't mind, I'd like to redeem a favor now," he said still smiling
"Would it be fine if i accompanied you back to Mondstadt?" he asked
"You are aware that you don't have to ask me that, right?" you responded
"My apologies, I had some things to do there anyway, but I enjoy your company and I didn't want to impose"
He enjoys my company??
"Ah well, why not then? One less favor to return i guess!"

You slowed down and attempted to think of a long way around Katheryne's counter, but Albedo was already walking ahead of you.
In a futile attempt to avoid Katheryne's gaze you ran up to Albedo and grabbed his arm
"What-"
"Just hide me for a split second, I'm trying to avoid someone"
and then you heard the voice you didn't want to hear
and it was addressing you
"Y/n, welcome back! I'm glad to see your journey was safe!"
you groaned silently, releasing Albedo's arm and approaching Katheryne
"Ok, before you say I told you so, at least let me apologize and explain my situation." You rambled
Katheryne turned her head in confusion
Apologize? I should be thanking you. I've received reports that the supply boxes were fully stocked!"

Did i sleep walk?

Your eyes darted from Katheryne to Albedo who was no longer holding your gaze, but looking away seemingly unsurprised

"It's no problem, I'm glad I could help." you said, mumbling off
"No no no, I'm sorry i underestimated you! If any commissions, no matter the difficulty level, are posted in the future, I'll be sure to let you know!"
She seemed so proud..
and you, felt terrible for misleading her
You walked away from the counter after giving Katheryne a quick goodbye, and immediately turned to Albedo
"Out of curiosity, did you do it?" you asked
"I do a lot of things, you'll have to elaborate" he responded smugly
"Thank you, you really didn't have to."
"It's no problem, I'm honestly unsure why they don't ask me to refill them seeing as I spend most of my time in that mountain"
you were about to respond when a red blur sprinted toward him with enough strength to almost knock him over.
"ALBEDO ONII-CHAN!" shouted the small girl
You watched as Albedo kneeled down to reach the same height as the little girl
"Hey Klee, have you been staying out of trouble lately?"
She nodded her head energetically
"Klee hasn't exploded exploded a lake for three whole weeks, so Jean let me out of solitary confinement! At least i could make some more gunpowder!" she responded, her eyes sparkling with joy

Leaving your confused mental state you looked over at Albedo who was not only unfazed by her statement, but was beaming at her.
"I'm so proud of you Klee! I knew you could do it!" he said ruffling her hair
she giggled and responded
"I made something for you, but I left it in my room.. Klee will be right back!"
Without looking back she scurried off to get whatever she left behind
"What just happened?? May I ask why an eight year old is exploding lakes??" you asked frantically, glancing over at Albedo
"She does it to catch fish, apparently it's easier than a fishing rod" he responded in his usual nonchalant tone
"That doesn't answer the question on why a child has explosives."
"I assure you she's a good kid. Extremely bright too. She just gets a little carried away sometimes... and makes a crater where a lake once was" he said casually
you blinked
and blinked again
"Shall we continue?" he asked calmly
Unable to verbalize from shock, you simply nodded in agreement
