Chapter 10

"Then why don't you do it again"

 You have no idea what compelled you to be so bold in that moment, but you definitely didn't regret it. Albedo brought his face back to yours for another kiss, this one being much more heated than the last. It seemed like your lips fit together like puzzle pieces; as if it was meant to be. You felt his tongue brush against your lips, seeming to request entrance. You obliged, letting his tongue explore your mouth. a small moan escaped you as he did, and you swear you could feel his smirk against your lips.

 Pushing him back on the couch, you straddled him, continuing the intense make-out session. His arm snaked around you to keep you firm in position; his other hand caressing your figure gently and respectfully.  You eventually both pulled away; a string of saliva connecting you both. 

 Looking into his heavily lidded eyelids and flushed face, you heard him murmur something along the lines of "You're beautiful"

 Sure, you definitely were in an extremely compromising position, but the only thing that was on your mind was the overwhelming peace that enveloped you when you were with him.

 It was getting later, and the combination of fighting earlier, trekking through the snow, and everything that had just happened between you and the alchemist currently still underneath you (with no intention of changing that anytime soon), you began to feel tired. 

Your eyes fluttered quickly, attempting to keep whatever sense of consciousness you had left, when you felt a hand gently hold your face. You were suddenly pulled to rest you head on Albedo's chest.

You caved, falling asleep almost instantly. The sound of his heartbeat was like a lullaby to you.

"Goodnight, my muse" Albedo said, unbeknownst to you.

 You woke up laying down on Albedo. You both were reclined on the couch; his arms wrapped around you probably to conserve your body heat. One thing you noticed was that he was always warm. Not to an uncomfortable degree though, more like the warmth that a soft blanket emitted on a chilly day.

Your eyes gazed upon his features, casted on by the morning sun rays perfectly. His hair framed his face messily; his face gave the feeling of pure tranquility.

I could get used to this

Looking downward, his top was unbuttoned slightly, allowing a little below his collarbone to show. You hadn't noticed this before, but on his neck was a tattoo in the shape of a diamond. you allowed your eyes to trace it before looking up at his face again. You lightly cupped his cheek, and he nuzzled his face further into it, humming in contentment.

Then his eyes opened slowly.

"Good morning y/n" he said groggily, gently taking your hand and kissing it.

There's no way this is real, right?

I must've been killed by that lawachurl and sent straight to Celestia

If this isn't real I swear-

You shook your head slightly and quickly responded

"Good morning."

"I hope you slept well, it might've been uncomfortable with me holding you" Albedo began

You shook your head

"It wasn't uncomfortable at all, it might've been the best sleep i've had in a while" you admitted

Maybe I shouldn't have said that

Is that too forward?-

He smiled, instantly melting your doubts

"I'm glad i could provide you with some well deserved rest then."

You nodded your head

Archons, I wish i could stay like this forever...

"Shall we then?" Albedo said, implying that you were going get ready to return.

Holding back a sigh, you nodded.

Albedo began sitting up, holding your waist to make sure that you didn't shift off of him and fall.

He stood up, and you followed him, walking over to grab your belongings. Once you assured that you had everything, You both journeyed down the mountain.

  Approaching the city of Mondstadt, an idea popped up in your head.

It was getting late, but that didn't faze you. You were skilled enough to handle almost every problem came your way, no matter how dark it was.

"Hey, Albedo," You began as you turned to face him. "Can we take a detour, I'd like to go somewhere before I return home."

He looked to you and said "Sure, why not."

You smiled and grabbed his hand before quickly sprinting in the direction of that place

After about 10 minutes, you had made it.

The tree at Windrise, Vanessa's tree.

"I brought you here because i remembered you said it was peaceful to you..." you said kindly, turning to him. "Thinking back, that was the day I met you."

Albedo could feel his heart swell. You actually remembered such a small detail, even when you were half asleep. It was a throw away comment, and yet, you remembered. To him, that was a huge deal. Nobody ever put that much thought into remembering things about him.

He watched as you quietly approached the tree, in order to not scare the crystalflies off. He smiled as one landed on your head, leaving a soft dusting of glitter as it did. You looked like a goddess to him, as your hair swayed in the wind. His heart sped even faster.

And that's when it hit him

The way you were so gentle with everything,

The way you were so easily flustered,

The way that you smiled at him,

How you were strong, but yet still caring,

How you made him feel whenever he saw you, 

He was falling in love with you, and quickly at that

And there was no way he was going to resist it
