Chapter 9-Cleo

I procrastinated wayyyyyyy too much over this chapter.

Also I think I'm giving off Bdubs x Scar vibes in this and that's not what I wanted so ignore that- I'm probably not but oh well

Also something is very wrong with me because I feel bad for the person in going to kill off next ;-;

"Hey Bdubs I'm back, probably go back out soon though. I think you know why..."

"I'm glad you're back" he replied completely glossing over me hinting about Hypno making me feel guilty.

"I'll stay with you for tonight, I mean if you want?" I said nervously.

Bdubs beamed, "thanks buddy!"

"Want to watch a movie?" I asked.

"Sure,"

After we finished watching 'Inside Out' for the tenth time we eventually went to sleep, it's now the morning and I'm about to go searching for answers and write in my journal.

After two hours or so of trying to find out what happened I came to the conclusion this was swept under the mat. Odd. I wonder why this kill and not any others is this hidden. I won't have much to write but oh well. Best I could do.

I must say this attack was horribly hard to find out about and I still know practically nothing. It's really annoying. Moving on, I only know that the changeling killed Hypno with no witnesses and that Xisuma tracked him down.

I don't know anything else and I highly doubt I'll find out any more so I just wrote this down.

The thing troubling me is the fact the next attack will probably be the five fatal attacks mark. That's very scary to think about. Nearly five people have died.

I heard a knock on my door, I opened it to see Iskall. They were over at my house last week so it's not like they haven't seen me in a while, I hope nothing is wrong...

"Uhm hey Stress," he said fiddling with something I couldn't identify.

"I'm making some hot chocolate if you want some," I said smiling, this was a lie but I wanted to make us some hot chocolate.

"Sure,"

I let him in and told him to wait on the sofa until I come back with the hot chocolates.

They were still playing with that thing, I'm going to ask what it is when I'm finished making the hot chocolates. It's probably just a stress or anxiety toy.

I put on the kettle and put the chocolate powder in two mugs, then put the hot water in and stirred.

"Hey Iskall, do you want some milk in your hot chocolate?"

"I'm okay, thanks"

So I brought in the two mugs, handing one to Iskall, and sat down.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"Give me a minute Iskall,"

I opened the door to see Ren. A bit odd he just showed up out of the blue.

"Hey Stress, uhm can I just stay over for a bit just feeling a bit sad y'know?"

"You can stay but just so you know Iskall is also here,"

"That's even better," he said smiling.

"Iskall! You have another friend here now, wait Ren, do you want a hot chocolate as well?"

"Um sure,"

Iskall gesturs for Ren to sit next to them while I go make a third hot chocolate.

I come back to see them both looking very worried. I felt a chill go down my spine...

"What's wrong guys?"

I'm surprised I'm actually doing this to be interily honest. I'm definitely not the type of person to seek help.

I found Cleo outside, "Hey Cleo," I called.

She looked round to see who the voice came from, "Hey X, don't you have admin stuff to do?"

Why did she have to remind me, "No, well... I'm kinda here for admin stuff..." I noticed her tense up. "You've not done anything wrong!" I added quickly.

I waited a second before continuing. "I came here to ask if you would, what's the right word, like, a second in command to help with the changeling?"

"X, of course I'll help," she said calming me.

"Th- Thanks," I didn't expect it to be that easy.

"So how would you like me to help?" She said eagerly.

"I was thinking maybe trying to figure out in the first place how the changeling got in to the server so it doesn't happen again. That sentence was a mess, but you know what I mean."

"Hmm, we should first look round the border for anywhere it broke in,"

"Good idea," I complimented her, and we set off.

After an hour of flying round the border with Xisuma, I found a hole. 

"X!!!" I called excitedly, "I found a hole in the border!!"

He swooped down next to me almost instantly. I showed him the hole.

"Should I try and see if I can fit through?" I asked.

"No." The response was very direct and harsh. "One. No one knows the changelings normal form so it could be something tiny so it doesn't matter and two. What if you get kidnapped if you get to the other side, it takes a long time for me to take out a bit of the border Cleo."

I wasn't quite ready for that. I stayed silent for a minute in shock. It made me feel upset, I hope my face wasn't giving that away.

"Okay I get it," I say playfully trying to lighten the mood from that.

"I'm going to start taking out a chunk of the border where the hole is and replace it, this could take quite a while so you can go home if you want,"

"Nah I'll just stay here until you're finished," I said sitting down and crossing my legs while X starts tip-taping away.

Why are Ren and Iskall both look so worried?? Is it something to do with Stress??? HrmMMmMM?? Who knows? me
