Chapter 6- A Orange Steve on the scaffolding

First view-???

After having to deal with that Sabre guy and some of the Orange steves. I realized I wouldn't exactly be able to make it with all the supplies I've got and the nearest yellow outpost was still out of reach even if i used all my energy what if some darkness decided to attack me while running i still needed energy for that..

I thought before turning around. I'm not exactly that far from Orange Village.. maybe they will be willing to let me stay for a day and let me get my stuff together. I mumbled a few words under my breath before sighing and pulling it out my clock checking the time it was 17:16.. i hummed before putting it back in place and getting my map & compass out looking to be in the exact direction of the orange village before nodding and putting them back.

I shut my bag sealed tight afterwards and fixed my hat on before smiling and i ran off in the direction of the orange village.

It may not be the best place to rest nor trade with currently but it will do for now i thought before putting my mind back on paying attention to the direction i was going in trying to see parts that i found familiar to guide me back there.

After the long run I finally stopped abruptly as i was about to run into a tree. I just laughed awkwardly before backing up a bit and looked around noticing the large Orange steve houses that where already being worked on i started walking towards there it was sundown still as I arrived there. Once I managed to find the main path of the village and looked to one of the sides i saw a Orange Steve on scaffolding just watching the sunset. I didn't exactly want to bother them..

So I looked around to see if anyone else was around but i didn't see anyone that i could go up too. Looks like i have to disturb someone from their relaxing hours. I thought anxiously before walking up and saying towards them.

First view-Shy

I heard someone say from down below me a bit loudly trying to catch my attention.

"Excuse me?"

I suddenly looked down just to see a Yellow Steve one that fit the description the leader gave of the one who helped save the infected Orange Steves.

"H-hello? What would you need?"

I questioned them as i jumped down from the scaffolding their eyes following me as i did so. A bit shocked that i just didn't care from jumping such distance i just gave an awkward smile waiting for them to respond to my question.

"A- ah..- sorry uhm- hello. My name is Yellow Steve. I am a scout of the second strongest yellow kingdom."

He responded formally after the awkward apology which while he responded i got to look at how he looked like. He had bright yellow hair with a hat representing his work. He had also some gold armor but mostly leather with a few small bags hanging down from his belt. And another from his arm to his waist clearly was the one holding the more important items that should be easier to access especially by a scout.

"It's quite alright. I d-don't really think it's normal to jump such height especially without training for others.. it just comes to mind for me or us Orange Steves to do..!"

I mumbled on before continuing as i bowed a bit.

"My name is Shy. Shy Orange Steve. The Orange A-apprentice of this village!"

I responded formally back well as formal as i could be.

"May i ask why you have come back? From what i heard.. you left after the orange steves that where infected got b-better."

I questioned the Yellow colored steve as gently as i could while looking at him.

"Oh.. well i did but i realized a bit before halfway that my supplies wouldn't last me to get back anywhere close to a outpost or another village. Especially with how now the darkness is attacking so quick i was wondering if i could stay here for a bit and trade. That is if you and your leader allow me."

I thought a bit from what he said before answering from my mind

"Well. I would say that you can s-stay. But sadly with everything going on i think it's something the leader has to decide. You can follow me. I will show you where he is to talk with him. While we may not be able to spare supplies yet we can probably let you stay for the night or a few."

Shy answered in as a shortest answer that he could find but he did ramble a bit trying to be more brave especially as being an apprentice he now had to act more like one and start helping out.

After the talk with the Orange Leader in his house which went smoothly but a bit wrecked as Worried came in running into my arms crashing me to the floor with Funny and Loud behind him a bit ashamed they looked. He , Worried was crying a bit too obviously a bad prank. It was pretty worrying still and awkward but they stayed with the Leader meanwhile i am to set him the Yellow Steve up inside my house as it's the one of the most non-destroyed building currently especially with less darkness which I didn't exactly mind.

I just then just took the hat off putting it in my closet before shutting it and looking at the other steve.

"You can take the bed I don't exactly mind. I have a lot of work to do tonight anyhow."

I told him kindly offering but he shook his head.

"Nonsense. I came at such a bad time i insist i can sleep on the couch or we can both share the bed i don't necessarily mind."

The yellow scout answered with as he took his bags off putting them down in a corner of the room with his hat ontop of them.

"Alright. A-also I'm sorry if the ruckus wakes you up tomorrow morning. You usually get used to it but it's understandable as you guys are more calm then we are exactly. Especially as we get up okayishly early if this sort of stuff happens."

I laughed trying to keep up with the conversation forcibly as i soon handed him some clothes to change into.

"Here. These are the best i can do for you currently I don't really think it would be comfortable to sleep in those clothes is it?"

I asked and the other steve shook his head at what i asked.

"It's not. Not at all thank you very much."

He answered me and i just nodded before i went down the latter letting out a sigh before going ahead. And i took off my shirt leaving me in my T-shirt. It got pretty hot at night while inside a house of a Orange steve i knew. Before i folded it and put it down somewhere as i then picked back up the book called Steve Legends from where i last left it and i sat down on the couch starting to read from the bookmark left awhile ago shortly tho still I'd say.
